Summary: Brief Summary of Lurlene McDaniel's Dawn Rochelle 4 Novels
Review: In Lurelene McDaniel's Dawn Rochelle's four novels it is a heart wrenching book. As you are reading you want to keep reading more and more and you do not want to let your book down. This book is filled with life lessons to be learned. The book is about Dawn Rochelle who has found out that she has cancer. Now, only does she have to face death in the face, but also has to learn how to adjust to the outside world after recovering. She has to learn how to deal with death and losing the people she holds dearest. After she recovers she feels as though she is an pariah. Everyone treats her differently just because she has the disease. She has a different point of view on life now. She can see what truly matters in life over just the teenage things. This is a very easy book to read not overly pedantic

Summary: This sounds familiar
Review: My Language Arts teacher gave me this book when I couldn't find anything to read. I read the back of the book and it was like deja vu... two years ago, when I was 11, I had a bone marrow transplant. We both even have red curly hair and freckles! It was really a great experience to know another girl just like me (albeit fictional) go through what I went through. I loved the books, and I can't wait to read To Live Again.

Summary: Dawn Rochelle, a story of life
Review: The story of Dawn Rochelle, is an incredible book about life with cancer, one day being normal, and the next you've got cancer. Since cancer is such a lifethreatening disease, Dawn Rochelle is hit with the shock in the waiting room of unfamiliar surroundings. Her family decides to put her in the hospital, and start treatment right away. Chemo makes her loose her hair, and she is depressed, and lonely. Her friends, are always going to the mall and having a blast, and to her luck, always come back and tell her about it. Dawn is reluctant, to move eventually to another facility for better treatment, and finally finds someone her own age in the same room as her. This new aquaintance becomes a sister to her, but she soon learns that after her friend is moved far away because of her father's concern with the hostpital, she passes away. Dawn again is devastated, but soon lifts her spirits to find that the cancer has stopped spreading. She soon gets back to school and life. Having a blast, and her brother is going off to college. But the cancer relapses, suddenly. She is put into critical care, and the only thing the doctors can do any more is a bone marrow transplant. Her family and friends all test to see if they are eligable, and her brother is the only hope. This is a great book for teens and puts you right there with the characters. I couldn't put it down and finished it in one day. I think you'll love it too.

Summary: !Intriguing and Surprising- different than all the others!
Review: This book by Lurlene McDaniel is definately her best! It is different than all of her others. This book makes you really beleive that you are right beside the characters as everthing happens to them. The dialogue between them makes everthing that much more realistic. There are a lot of "main characters", which keeps you wondering what will happen next and to whom. As you read, you really feel sorry for Dawn Rochelle becauase she has leukimia, and when she makes a friend in the hospital and some more at Cancer Camp, well, you will just have to read it too find out. Even if you didn't like past books by McDaniel, you still might like this one. It is very different than the others!

Summary: Amazingly Amazing
Review: This book is the BEST. It's the first book I read by Lurlene McDaniel, and made me continue reading her books. I have read several of her Wish books and The Angels Trilogy, but this is just AMAZING. It's sweet and touching, and well written. I definetly reccomend it, as long as you're ready for a lot of pain and sadness throughout the book.

Summary: The best book i have ever read
Review: This has to be the best and most touching book i have ever read. Dawn Rochelle at 13 has a hard time accepting that she has been diagnosed with luekemia. Through this 4 in 1 book series, she tells her 5 year battle with the deasease and the best friends she makes along the way. It shows the best caring relationship she has with her brother and how she feels about fitting it with her classmates after she has been through sickening treatments. It makes you want more books about Dawn! It even made me want to become a pediatric oncology nurse. So read this and I promise you'll like it!
