Rating: Summary: Dawn Rochelle, a story of life with cancer Review: Dawn Rochelle is an awe inspiring book about living life with cancer. Dawn is 13 years old, has great friends, admires a great guy, and has the best family. Only one thing goes wrong, she starts to feel awful, and doctors know something serious is wrong. When she goes to a special hospital to take tests trying to find out what the problem could be, she is told to sit in the waiting room. Through the door Dawn finds out that she has leukemia. Her parents decide to put her on chemo pronto, her older brother who she's very close to is beside her the whole way. To make matters worse, Dawn is falling behind in school, and her body isn't cooperating with the chemo as well as the doctors would like. She is moved from hospital room to hospital room, and finally she is moved in with someone her own age named Sandy. They bond instantly, and become closer than sisters, Sandy then goes into remission, and Dawn soon follows. Summer comes, and Sandy and Dawn although far apart, arrange to go to a cancer camp, where they share boys and laughs, only to fall into despair again with relapses. When Sandy's father isn't contented with the hospital situation, he moves Sandy to a much worse situation. Dawn goes into remission, this time Sandy can't follow. So the cancer takes it's toll on Sandy's body. Along with a death when things are going right for Dawn, she very suddenly falls back into a relapse only to find that this time her body refuses the chemo, and her only hope is a bone marrow transplant, the only eligible person is her brother who is now away from home in college. Dawn can only hope, and even beyond that, there's only a fifty percent chance that Dawn's body will accept the alien bone marrow, and start producing more. This book taught me about life, and death. I cried harder than I ever thought possible, I grew attached to the characters instantly, this book catches you right in the beginning an holds on until the end. I couldn't put it down, I finished it in one day.
Rating: Summary: Impossible book to put down Review: Dawn Rochelle is my all time favorite, Dawn was dignosed with a cancer called leukimia. She goes to cancer camp with her best friend named Sandy she met in the hospital also diagnosed with leukimia. When they get to camp the get lucky by meeting two cute guys. That was my favorite part about this book because Dawn gets to kiss all these guys. And when she finally stays with the one she liked most of all. I think that this would be a great book for anyone that is a love bird.LOL! Anyway hope you enjoy reading this book, just like I did.
Rating: Summary: The Best Book Review: Dear Readers, ... I enjoy reading books by Lurlene McDaniel. She is the best writer. Her words are like poetry to my ears, heart, and mind. These particular books are my favorite. I thought these was only four, of these series, but when I found out there was more I jumped for joy! Seriously they are the best books, with words that put you into another world. They are very good books and you should read every one of them. I used to not read at all, I hated it. Now I just can't stop! I have been only reading these books for about a month and am well on my way to achieving my goal of reading all of her books. I read about one a day, or sometimes even two. They are just easy to read and flow so smooth across the page. Well that is all for now and I hope you enjoy all of these wonderful books like I have and will to come. Truly yours, ...

Rating: Summary: Dawn Rochelle: Five Star Book Review: I absolutely loved this book. Lurlene McDaniel is the best author I have ever read. I definately recomend this book for anyone who wants to read a death, dying and romance novel.
Rating: Summary: The Best Review: I first read these books in the early, early 90's when they were newer and I was around 12, and I have never forgotten them. They made me cry so hard I couldn't breathe, and they moved me in a way I will never forget. I believe they heightened my sensitivity and my appreciation for life and living, and for those who are dying. Although these books are written for teens, I believe they are of a much higher quality than many such books. Lurlene McDaniel writes in a way that speaks to teens where they are without talking down to them, and without assuming they are only interested in superficial things. She is a wonderful, heartfelt author who really gives "life" to the dying in her written portraits of them. For the few months I read these books, Dawn Rochelle was my best friend, and she has made an impact on my life. Thank you, Miss McDaniel, for these poignant stories that have touched me, deep down in my soul.
Rating: Summary: Dawn Rochelle: Four novels, the tear jerking book Review: I have read these books many times. The best one I think Lurlen McDaniel has ever written was on Dawn Rochelle, this is the sadest book I have read in ages. To me, Dawn had gone through a lot of teenage years, me only being 15 and not going through much as she did I wouldn't know what to do and I would give up through all that she went through. I recommend that teenagers read this book and she what others may be going through in there lives and see how others have it hard and you may not have it that hard.
Rating: Summary: Dawn Rochelle Review: I just got this book last Friday and I am now finished, and I'm telling the truth when I say I couldn't put it down! It is a very great book about a young girl [about my age, 13 that's why I started reading it] who gets the horible cancer, leukemia. She deals with a interesting strugle with cancer and chemotherapy is certainly not a treat. She battles leukemia with her bestfriend, Sandy. This is a book that is so wonderful that will bring tears to your eyes, I hope you read this inspiring story of a young girl named, Dawn.
