Rating: Summary: Who are you and what have you done with Gaia Moore? Review: I read this last month, but only recently did I look at the reviews on this site. Now I'm going to weigh in and say what *I* thought of this part of the Fearless series.1. The Plot As far as I can see, there was a lot going on. It was very fast-paced, but not hard to follow. I wish we could have seen more of Tom Moore and less of Loki, but you can't have everything. There were some wonderful scenes--my favorite being the one in which Heather and Gaia *finally* hash things out, at least as much as they can without coming to physical blows. That was some truly great writing, and I couldn't help smiling as I read it. Unfortunately...that's really the only good thing the plot has to offer besides the action. 2. The Characterizations Now THIS is where I have the huge problem--and this problem chips away at the plot of the series. It's like every single person in the series had a brain transplant...with a lemming, or perhaps a toad. No one acts like themselves at all. Okay, we all knew Ed was in love with Gaia from Day 1. And I used to want them together...later, I grew beyond that, watching Ed and Heather together. I liked them together. Then, for reasons completely unknown to me, the author decided they weren't such a hot couple after all, and invented the lamest of all reasons for them to break up, thus freeing up Ed for Gaia. I could go into all the reasons why I hate the idea of Ed and Gaia together, but I won't. It would take up far too much space. Ed's love confession just added a soap opera-esque twist that the plot really didn't need. It was aggravating, because it was so horribly out of character for both. As for Gaia...what happened to her? She used to be the edgy, strong anti-heroine that I adored. She's not that character anymore. She's....badly written. I love Gaia. I just hate Francine Pascal for writing her so badly in this novel. Nothing Gaia says or does (with the exception of her interaction with Heather) is in-character. And it's really depressing. And another thing...since when do Heather's friends think Gaia is beautiful and mysterious, anyway? Everything they've done in all the past books has suggested they think she's a freak. It just doesn't make sense. It's madness, I tell you! On a final note...will Ms. Pascal PLEASE have either Loki or Tom bite the dust and/or kill each other? They need a showdown, a REAL showdown...hopefully in the next book, which I will read in hopes of everything being set right and in-character once more. Oh, PLEASE let everything be set right....
Rating: Summary: this book was just too good for words... Rating: Summary: If you've read the others.. Review: If you've read the others, then you know how these books work, so start with 1 or 2 and work your way up. GEtting to the point:This book is great, and full of new twists- if you've read the past 17-there is NO way you can miss this 1. So, go out and buy the book b/c u need to finish the series if uve already started. Have fun!haha
Rating: Summary: My favorite!! Review: Love is my favorite of the Fearless series. Ed and Gaia are slowly becoming more than just friends...and Loki's plans are getting more complicated and ingenious. Gaia's hiding out at Ed's from Loki; Sam's warning has really worried her... She's worried for Sam and has no idea what to do. The most shocking part (in a good way) is what Heather decides to do for Gaia. It's filled with humor, action, romance, and so much more... read Love by Francine Pascal.
Rating: Summary: Best Ever! Review: Of all the Fearless books, 18-Love has got to be the best, yet. I didn't really like what happened it 17-Flee, but this book is a total come-back. Francine Pascal is my favorite author, and Fearless is my favorite book/series.
Rating: Summary: My favorite!! Review: OK LET'S JUST GET SOMETHING STRAIGHT I THOUGHT GAIA LOVED SAM. IN THIS BOOK JOSH WHO HAS BEEN BLACKMAILING SAM KILLS HIM.IN THIS BOOK WE SEE HOW SAM'S LIFE HAS BEEN TOTALLY RUINED BY GAI AND SHE DOESN'T EVEN CARE. IF ANYBODY STILLS REMEMBER, SAM WAS GAI'S TRUE LOVE OR SO SHE SAID. WHAT GOT ME ANGRY WAS THE FACT THAT SAM DIED THINKING GAI STILL LOVED HIM AND HE DIED CONTENT KNOWING THAT HE IN SOME WAY COULD HELP GAI. APPARENTLY GAI DOESN'T CARE CAUSE NOW OUT OF NOTHING SHE LOVES ED. I MEAN COME ON, GIVE ME A BREAK FIRST SHE LOVES SAM THEN SHE LOVES ED PLEASE MAKE UP YOUR MIND. OH AND HERES A QUESTION HOW COME GAI NEVER FOUND OUT ABOUT THIS LOVE WHEN ED WAS STILL IN A WHEELCHAIR.NO, FIRST ED HAD TO HAVE THIS OPERATION WHICH WORKED AND NOW HE WALKS AND NOW GAI LOVES HIM. WHAT SADDENS ME IS HOW FRANCINE PASCAL CHANGED THE WHOLE PLOT OF THE STORY.THE FIRST 17 BOOKS GAI STILL LOVED SAM AND AT THE LAST MINUTE SHE DIDN'T. AND IT SEEMS AS IF NOBODY SEEMS TO REMEMBER THAT SAM WAS EVER THE MAIN CHARACTER OF THIS BOOK FOR THE FIRST 17 BOOKS, OH AND LET'S NOT FORGET GAI'S LOVE.I TRULY PREFERRED THE PART OF HEATHER AND ED GETTING BACK TOGEHTER. AND GAI AND SAM FINALLY BEING TOGETHER. I THINK THIS BOOK STANK BECAUSE OF THE WAY FRANCINE PASCAL WROTE A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT STORY FROM WHAT SHE STARTED WRITING.
