Summary: Good, but Kind of Gory
Review: Out of all of Paul Zindel's works, I like this one the best, it's definatly not as gory as 'Raptor' or 'Reef of Death', but it still is kind of scary so I wouldn't recommened it to younger children. I don't know why the editorial reveiw says the plesiasaurs are "loveable", during the course of the book they eat three people and chases after Loch and almost eats him! But anyway, the story is that Loch and Zaidee are the children of a marine biologist named Dr. Sam, who works for the ruthless Mr. Cavengar, who wants to capture a plesiasaur. Loch and Zaidee and Sarah, Mr. Cavengar's daughter, befriend a little baby plesiasaur. When they find out that Mr. Cavengar is going to kill them, the decide to do something about it. As I said before, this book might be a litle intense for younger kids, but I definatly reccomend it!

Summary: A GREAT READ
Review: Ryan Anderson

The best book I have ever read was Loch, by Paul Zindel. There are many reasons why, too. One of the best things about the book is all of the Loch Ness monsters. It is about this boy who sees the Loch Ness monster, and no one believes him, so they call him Loch. Loch is a sixteen-year-old kid that lives near Lake Champlain. His dad works for this really mean guy named Mr. Cavenger. When there is supposedly a sighting of anything that not many people have seen, he then goes and looks for it, and tries to catch it. Anyway, there was a sighting of something in the lake that connects to Lake Champlain. Cavenger gets all of his employees, including Loch's dad, to search for anything in the lake. They find one Loch Ness monster, and then some more until finally they find a whole family of them. Another reason this is a great book is because Loch finds a baby Loch Ness monster. Loch went to the other side of the lake where all of the monsters were. While scuba diving, he sees some signs that a Loch Ness monster has been there. He is following its tracks when he sees that the tracks turn a different direction. It was because it was pulled by an undertow, and so was the boy. It pulled him into some underwater caverns, and then over a waterfall into a large pond. There he found a baby Loch Ness monster. The final reason I like this book is the end. The end was really fantastic. I am not going to it to you though because I want you to read it and find out yourself. Those are some of the reasons why Loch is my favorite book.

Summary: Loch review dg
Review: So far the book has been fairly entertaining. It follows the old myth of the "Loch - Ness" monster. It has some very interesting and suspenseful parts. It is a creative sci-fi thriller, and has a lot of thought put into it. It has a little gore (which isn't too bad). Paul Zindel did a good job writing this book, by fitting a World-Wide Myth, with a very creative and suspenseful plot.

Summary: A non-stop action thriller with suprises around every corner
Review: The story "Loch" begins when Vermont locals report seeing a monster that somewhat resembles something out of the time of dinosaurs. Loch, who 10 years earlier had claimed to see the Loch Ness Monster, and whose father is a marine biologist, is recruited by a madman who is set out to hunt these strange creatures. But Loch, his long time crush Sarah, and Loch's younger sister discover a young pleasiasaur and somehow earn it's trust. Eventually resulting in them doing what they can to protect these creatures from a madman set out for the blood of these rare reptiles, whether they're alive or dead. This story is a story of truth, honor, love for family, and new beginings. If you're looking for this kind of story, this is the one for you.

Summary: The Mystery
Review: This book begins with a boy named Loch who for the first time encounters the Lochness Monster when two of the sheep from his herd fall into the lake and get devoured. Then Loch spends the rest of his life looking for the answer to this question. Does the Lochness monster really exsist? You will have to find out for yourselve. It is a really good book and I would recommend this book only to the people who like horror books. Otherwise you would not like this book.

Summary: The Loch
Review: This book is cool cause I like the way everything is put together. The scene is like dark and people are gone. Most everything is silent and then the writer that says that there is something in the darkness moving. The whole book is like that and thats what I like about it. It just keeps you wondering about what will happen next. In this book thecharacters dont talk on and on about nothing. They have a point most of the time. The ending was alright thats why i gave it a rating of 4 cause it wasn't to good. Other than that the rest of the story is the best part and this was probably the best book I read so far.

Rating: 5 stars
