Rating: Summary: An exciting adventure and horror book Review: "Loch" is a great horror book. But it's not completely a horror book like you might expect it to be. Several plesiosaurs are living in a Vermont lake. Many people have told stories of seeing them, and that leads to a group of scientists wanting to capture one alive or kill it and take its remains to prove the existence of these prehistoric aquatic beasts. The man who is over the operation to find the plesiosaurs is Cavenger, and he won't let anything get in his way of finding and catching or killing one of the dinosaurs. However, after making friends with a young plesiosaur up close, the kids of some of the scientists, Loch, Zaidee, and Sarah want to help save the dinosaurs."Loch" does have many horror elements to it such as the plesiosaurs killing some people and some chilling descriptions of people's remains being found after one of the dinosaurs were done killing them, but it's more of an adventure to save the prehistoric creatures with the main characters, Loch and Zaidee. I used to be real interested in the Lochness Monster headlines a few years ago before some people admitted it was a hoax, and that was the main reason I wanted to read this book. You can tell "Loch" is sort of taken from the real life Lochness Monster news of a few years back even though it doesn't say it in this book. The Lochness Monster hoax was supposed to be a plesiosaur, and the plesiosaurs in this book are right next to Lake Champlain, where a lot of people used to think a real Lochness Monster lived in real life. If you like dinosaurs and especially if you like sea-related adventures, I recommend reading "Loch." It's a well written book and it's exciting.
Rating: Summary: Great Review: "This is a suspence thrilling must read for all adventure lovers." If you've got a thing for dinosaurs, underwater life, or just plain fun you've got to read this book. It is the most discriptive nail biting book I've ever read!

Rating: Summary: "This Goes out to Mr. Austin" Review: A boy nicknamed loch and his sister zaidee are involuntarily going on an expedition to a Vermont lake to look for modern plesiosaurs with their father, Dr. Sam. Dr. Sam is a marine biologist, and he works for a despicable man named Mr. Cavenger. Loch doesn't think they will find anything, but then, loch discovers a baby Plesiosaur and the knowledge that Cavenger doesn't want to just find the creatures, but kill them. Loch does have many horror elements to it such as the plesiosaur killing some people and some chilling descriptions of peoples remains being found after one of the dinosaurs were done killing them, but its more of an adventure to save the prehistoric creatures with the main characters, Loch and Zaidee. This is another one of Paul Zindels best works; it is everything that I read a book for. It seems to me that a book that is about sea horror is a lot better than any other book. I would give it 41/2 stars out of 5.

Rating: Summary: I've Read It 3 Times, Working On 4!! Review: Anyone who is vegly interested in the loch ness monster or other cryptids should read this book. It's totally awsome, though a little graphic at times. Loch (the main character, a 15 year old boy) and his sister Zadiee have to save the creatures of Lake Alban, but how can they with their father's boss, Cavenger, breathing down there necks trying to capture and probably kill the animals. Their journey is action packed and, and I said, a MUST read. It would make a great movie that people would want to watch over and over and over again, that is why I give this Book 5 stars and would give them more of I could. Bravo Mr.Zindel, This is an AMAZING book!
Rating: Summary: An excellant horror story. Review: Fifteen year old Loch (nicknamed that because he claimed to see the Loch Ness monster during a family trip in Scotland when he was a toddler), his little sister, Zaidee, and his girlfriend, Sarah, join their dads on an expedition to search for a monster in a Vermont lake. While exploring, the three discover a baby monster that appears to be a creature left from prehistoric times. Now they must convince Sarah's father and his crew that the creatures will be harmless if left alone. But the stubborn adults won't listen, and the kids have to save the creatures - and the humans. A suspenseful horror story that I highly reccomend.
Rating: Summary: bum bum BUUUMMMM... (oooo, gives me shivers) Review: heard of the Loch Ness monster? thought it was a hoax? in this book, these creatures are real--and deadly. fifteen-year-old Loch has been on many ventures with his working father looking for beings that have only been rumors, and stay that way. but on Loch's latest journey, these "myths" turn out to be real and its up to Loch, Sarah, and Zaidee to save them all. i gave it only four star tho, because some characters aren't very good, like Loch's father and Sarah's father.
