Rating: Summary: Best one so far Review: Lady Gwyneth's father is ill and she is left in charge of their estate but a neighboring Baron plots to take her estate from her and marry her as well. Gwyneth has no army to fend off an invasion but she comes across a young thief who she blackmails into training the townsmen to become soldiers. Will Gwyneth and the thief be able to get along for long enough to prevent the Baron from taking away everything she holds dear?Gwyneth and the Thief is the best Avon True Romance I've read so far. The plot is exciting and the pacing of it is perfect. The two main characters are full of personality and are the type you really root for. I really liked many of the secondary characters as well. The ending was happy but managed to keep form being too unrealistic. I hope there are more books in the series as likeable as this one.
Rating: Summary: Excelent! Review: One thing I espeshally like about this book was that it started out right away with, well, everything, and summed up what was happening with the money, her father, etc. in about three paragraphs. Gwyneth actually did not know Gavin in the very beginning, but figured that he could help later after she sort of rescued him from dying there in the woods. Gavin actually did have a choice, to stay, pretending to be a squire, or run away back to his old life. Of course the whole time he was going to run away if it turned rough. I would say that they both fell for each other right away, not just after his job was finished, though. I absolutly loved this book one of the best I have read, except I probably would have loved it even more with a little bit more adventure.
Rating: Summary: Gwyneth and the Thief Review: The plot was very well written and interesting, especially for people who enjoy reading romance or history novels. But, the plot was being built up far too much. The author got stuck in the middle, yet kept plowing on. The end was hasty compared to the rest of the book. Though I enjoyed the beginning, i thouroughly do not reccomend this book.
Rating: Summary: Awsome read Review: This book was great. I couln't put it down and when I did i picked right back up again. IF you want adventure, Romance, and historcical input then this book is good for you. About the book it all starts when Gwyenth meets a handsome man and he helps her with her fauther's castle. This leads to romance and jealousy. but with his socail statious they can't be together... you have to read and find out more.
Rating: Summary: An excellent Medieval romance novel Review: This is the first book I have read from the Avon True Romance series, and I really enjoyed it. The story is about Lady Gwyneth of Haverleigh. Her father, the earl, is ill and she is in charge of her castle. The Baron DeVilliers wants Gwyneth as his wife and also wants the property of Haverleigh to add to his own, Aldenborough. When Gwyneth sees a thief, Gavin, abandoned by his group, she decides he would be useful in training her men in protecting Haverleigh. As time goes on, both realize they are in love with each other. Soon DeVilliers gives a challenge, his men against Gwyneth's, in an attempt to capture Haverleigh if his men win. Will Lady Gwyneth be able to keep her castle safe, and be with Gavin, the person she loves? This is a really great novel, and I would definitely recommend it for teenagers.
