Summary: The Lady and Her Thief
Review: Fifteen-year-old Lady Gwyneth is in a predicament! Her father is sick, leaving Haverleigh, their estate, in her care. To make matters worse, the greedy Baron DeVilliers will do anything to have Haverleigh for his own, even try to persuade Gwyneth to marry him. Desperate for help, Gwyneth asks Gavin, a thief, to pose as a squire and teach the men of Haverleigh to fight so they can protect the castle. In time, Gavin becomes more to Gwyneth than just a helpful thief. Sparks fly between the two, but can love happen between a lady and a thief? Are they both willing to take the risk?
I thought this was a great book. I have read several of the Avon True Romance books and every one is a great read!

Summary: An Excellent Romance
Review: Gwyneth and her brother are left Haverleigh when their father dies. But when Gwyneth's brother is kidnapped, it's up to Gwyneth to keep Haverleigh up and running. But trouble soon starts when Haverleigh begins to become broke, but Gwyneth's discovery of a young man (the Thief) just might be the answer to all of her problems.

Gavin (the Thief) does what Gwyneth asks, which is to pretend he's a squire, and begins to train the farmers and craftsmen of Haverleigh the art of combat. Soon he realizes that there is much more than thievery, and finds himself falling in love with Lady Gwyneth and she with him.

This was a lovely romance set in 1202, and must read for all fans of "Anna and the Duke."

Summary: an enjoyable read...cheesy and romantic! :D
Review: Gwyneth and the Thief is a fun historical romance about a lady and a thief. gwyneth, 15, is left in charge of her father's castle when he gets sick. she enlists the aid of gavin, a thief, to pose as a squire and train the villagers to fight in case her neighbour [a baron] tries to take over her castle. obviously, she falls in love with gavin and him with her. they know that a love between a thief and a lady can never take place. what will happen next?!

i really enjoyed this book. the plot is quite unbelievable and the lines are cheesy and very modern [not at all medieval], but the book is still very enjoyable. as long as you don't go in expecting too much, you will enjoy this!

Summary: A sweet Medieval romance perfect for teenage girls.
Review: Gwyneth is just fifteen years old, but with her mother and brother dead, and her father ill, the responsibility of running her family's estate, Haverleigh, has fallen to her. Baron DeVilliers, who owns the neighboring estate, has made no secret of his wish to marry Gwyneth so that Haverleigh can be his. Gwyneth would do almost anything to avoid marrying such a despicable man. When she finds an unconscious thief in the woods, she decides that he is the answer to her problems. Gavin is not much older than her, but has lived his whole life in poverty. Gwyneth blackmails him into posing as a squire and training the men of Haverleigh to fight. Gavin reluctantly gives in to her plan. But neither Gwyneth nor Gavin expects the feelings of love that begin to grow between them. I highly recommend this Medieval romance to teenagers, and to anyone who enjoys a sweet love story.

Summary: I loved this book!
Review: I loved the setting of this book! With her mother and brother dead and father sick Gwyneth is the lady of the manor in 1202 England though she is just fifteen. She is desperate to avoid being forced into marriage to her despicable neighbor, who wants her family's estate of Haverleigh for himself. To save herself and her family's land Gwyneth rescues a handsome young thief from certain death and forces him to train the men of Haverleigh in combat, but her plan is complicated when the two fall in love. Read this book if you like historical romance, it's great!!!

Summary: An adorable romance!!
Review: I was in [a local bookstore] and I came across this one, liked the cover and bought it!! In only two days I was finished with it!! It is one of the best Romance stories that I have ever read! One of my favorite excerpts is:
"I would have to be a fool not to know girls find me handsome. Since I am not a fool, I believe you do, too. Is that why you took pity on me, my young and pretty lady? Is that why you combed my hair and gave me your brother's clothes? What use have you for me here?"
Gwyneth blushed hotly as she answered him. "You are an insolent rascal!"
"Sometimes." Gavin smiled as he halted in front of her. "Don't you like rascals, my lady? Don't you find us....exciting?"
I thought that this book was adorable and had lovable characters and evil ones as well. Margaret Moore did a fantastic job and this book was well done.

Summary: True Romance
Review: Keeping in fashion with with the previous quality of the other books in the series, this is no different. Gwyneth and Gavin are likable characters they you adore from the start. Gwyneth is a strong woman who likes to do things for herself, and even takes control of running the castle when her father becomes ill. Gavin is a thief, albeit a good-natured one, who is rescued by Gwyneth to train the people of her land to defend themselves against the evil Baron who wants to make Gwyneth his bride. All he really wants is her land to add to his property. Of course, we all know that Gavin will come through in the end and save his dear Gwyneth from being married to such a pig! Woo woo! This is an awesome book!

Summary: A charming medievel romance
Review: Lady Gwyneth is nothing short of desperate. When her neighbor Baron DeVilliers proposes to marry Gwyneth, even though he doesn't even love her and only wants her family estate Haverleigh, her sick father consents even though Gwyneth hates the man. To save her estate from the Baron, Gwyneth comes up with a plan that involves a particular thief, Gavin, who she met in the woods left to die by his fellow thieve members. Left with not much of a choice, after being abandoned by his fellow family of thieves, Gavin accepts her request to pose as a squire and train the farmers and craftsmen of Haverleigh how to fight. Gavin soon finds that he enjoys this new, different lifestyle, and as Haverleigh is finally secured, he finds himself falling in the love with the determined young Lady Gwyneth. As sparks between the two of them fly, their forbidden romance nearly undoes them both. The only way for their love to survive is to keep it a secret...but can they...for love between a lady and a thief is definitely impossible. Quite the nice medievel novel. I have always been intersted in this genre and this new novel in the Avon True Romance series ranks high on my list as one of my favorites. Can't wait for further installments of this wonderful series.

Summary: not the very best of romances, but still quite enjoyable
Review: Lady Gwyneth just wanted to be able to run her sickly father's estate smoothly. But it just couldn't be so. Baron DeVilliers, the owner of an estate nearby, wants her land and home so that he can increase his own power and status. What makes that even more disturbing is that he wants Gwyneth to be his wife. With very little money to hire men to guard her home, Gwyneth had to find another way to protect her land. That is where Gavin came in. After rescueing the young thief and taking him in, she threatens him into helping her: he would train her own tenants into being capable soldiers. As the days pass, the young couple finds themselves falling in love. Their love is impossible, however, since Gavin is but a lowly thief and Gwyneth the daughter of an earl. But then Baron DeVilliers strikes, and he proposes a little battle in which Gavin and her tenants fight against him and his formidable mercenaries. Gwyneth is left with a horrible dilemma. Will she risk the life of her love to protect the home she has so long tried to protect, or will she send him away so that, although she would never see him again, she would know that he was safe? And even if he did remain and survive the battle, how would they ever marry because of the difference between their statuses?
