Review: George's Marvelous Medicine is a fantastic book, for all ages! It's hilarious and will make anyone laugh. Once you start reading this book you won't be able to get your nose out of it!!! I would rate this book a most definite five, or the highest rating possible!!! I read this while I was on vacation and no one could get me to go anywhere! The plot was set in the English countryside, where an eight year old boy, named George was stuck with his horrid grandma, who told him all sorts of terrible stories that frightened him to death! Eventually, George got so fed up with the obnoxious old hag, that he made up a special medicine, to replace her regular daily medicine. The medicine works wonders, and makes the grandma taller than a house, and very spunky!! If you enjoy strange and wonderful humor,fun and exciting books, or Roald Dahl books, I strongly reccomend this!!!

Review: George's Marvelous Medicine is a great book. It's about a young boy that hates his very old grandother. She is so mean to George that he decides to make a marvelous medicine that will surprise her so much that she can't beleive what's happening to her. Overall this was a very good book, though in my opinion it wasn't better than Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.I think my favorite character would have to be George because he is the kind of person that always gets into mischeif. The character that was my least favorite was the grandmother because she was always mean to George. I would recomend this book to people of all ages.

Review: George's Marvelous Medicine is a very good book, it is exciting and funny, and you will want to read it again and again. If you read this story I would advise that you read more of Roald Dahl's books. My opinion about this story is that it is a very interesing and a 5 star story . I know that you will enjoy this story when you read it, and you will want to do a book review just like me now if you don't think that it is interesting enough I will tell you my favorite parts. I liked when he makes a chicken on his farm over 6 feet tall with his medicine. As you can see, that is not all of the funny parts, but I don't want to give it all away. I hope you enjoy it!

Summary: Horrible Role Models
Review: George's Marvelous Medicine is full of characters who lack character. George is mistreated by his grandmother, so he resorts to doing something mean to get back at her. When George's parents get home his father is overcome by greed and helps George recreate the medicine. They fail and make a shrinking potion instead. George's father encourages the grandmother to steal and drink it. The obvious theme is revenge. I do not believe that George intended for his grandmother to vanish completely, but he certainly wasn't sorry for what he did and neither were his parents. Not one person ever demonstrates the qualities we want our children to possess. My children won't be reading the book.

Summary: Roald Dahl proves his creativity and wit all over again!
Review: George's Marvelous Medicine is simply-- marvelous! George's wicked live-in grandmother has tormented him with mean words and harsh commands for 8 years, and now he is going to do something about it! George decides that he can concoct a medicine that will make the old hag change into a kindly old woman-- or at least cause a few explosions inside of her! You can't help but laugh as the grouchy old woman tells George that he is growing the wrong way (he should be growing down, not up) and you will howl with laughter as she describes how lucky she feels when she finds a beetly bug in her cabbage. Beetly bugs are the crunchiest and by far the yummiest. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and I'm certain that you will, too. What happens to Granny, in the end, is up to you to find out! I also highly recommend the BFG and Matilda, both by Roald Dahl.
