Rating: Summary: A great Sci Fi without the blood and guts Review: I thoroughly enjoyed this sci fi. It was gentle enough not to turn me off and yet was involving enough that I kept turning the pages. The world it set was believable and the insight from a dragon's view was alot of fun. Humor was generously sprinkled in and thank goodness there were no major battles, invasions or all that other violence that gets so bogged down and boring in many sci fi. If you've read all Anne Mcaffrey works and are looking for more in that stlye this is a book for you. Sequel Please!!!!
Rating: Summary: Wonderful Read - Impatiently Awaiting Kerner's Next Book Review: The cover caught my attention and the story kept me spellbound. I have read many dragon books but none quiet like this one.
Rating: Summary: Great read in high style Review: I thought this book was reminiscent of Mercedes Lackey or Robert Jordan or even Marion Zimmer Bradley. High marks for style and content and thoroughly entertaining from the first moment. Ms Kerner has a bright future and hopefully a prolific one. Don't bother her with mail, it will interupt her. Must read this if you like High fantasy.
Rating: Summary: An Absolutely WONDERFUL Book !!! Review: This book is the best book that I have read in a long time. I love the characters, the writing style, and the magic. I made a fuss every time I had to put it down. If you love dragons, or even just fantasy, you will love this book.
Rating: Summary: WOW!!! Review: This is a first class fantasy novel from an author with a bright future ahead of her!You think dragons are over done....well this book is a refreshing breath of spring air!If you love fantasy read it, if you don't read it anyway.Trust me this is a great book and a joy to read.I sincerely hope that Ms. Kerner writes many more in the near(very near please?!) future!
Rating: Summary: A Wonderful Read Review: I've read many dragon books, and this one has to be one of the greatest. This is apparently Kerner's first novel and such I great one it is. The writing is supperb and the characters gripping. I tell you the truth when I say this is a sincere 10 on the scale.
Rating: Summary: EXCELLENT!!! Review: This is a wonderful story full of intreque, love and adventure. I loved the full rich characters of Akor and Lanen, the lore of the Kandri, the evil of the Demonlord and the special love Akor and Lanen shared. I can't wait for the next book!!
Rating: Summary: Entertaining Review: I'd like to say that this book has all the elements of a good fantasy. And the love between Dragon and Gedri is amazing. This book is a must read. :)
Rating: Summary: Good read Review: This was a very good book--especially considering that it's apparently Ms. Kerner's first! I truly enjoyed it, and felt that she did a good job with the character development. It moved a little slowly in the beginning, but that didn't last long. There's obviously room for a sequel, since there's a large plot line that is left hanging--I just hope the next book is published soon!
Rating: Summary: Beautiful, poetic writing style. Review: I loved this book and want the sequel now!! The characters are people you can care about and relate to and I found Kerner's writing style very poetic and evocative.
