Rating: Summary: Spectacular! The best unicorn book ever written! Review: When I first heard about this book, it was not long ago, when I was searching for unicorn books on the web. Once I read the great reviews, I thought "this is the book for me". I found it at my library, and it proved to be on of the most well-written books around about unicorns. Meredith Ann proves that unicorns have their own civilization, and aren't little medieval myths. They are warrios to the end, which is what I have believed ever since I was a child. Please read this book if you can find it. It's worth the search.
Rating: Summary: One of the BEST books I have ever read..... Review: When I saw the final book in the triology at my school library next to my fave author's books (Tamora Pierce-you should really read her if you like this book!) I was really interested. I'm a fantasy book freak so I snatched it up! And I LOVED it!!!! I was a little confused because I hadn't read the 1st or 2nd books in the quartet, but I still loved it!! And when I was at a used bookstore, and when I saw the name Meredith Ann Pierce on Birth of the Firebringer, I immedietly picked it up! And lo and behold, it was the 1st in the trilogy! Its an awsome book...a must read.
Rating: Summary: Why? Review: Why, oh why is this fabulous book out of print? Who conspires against the wonderful world of the Warriors of the Ring and keeps it so hard to find, instead of every child in america having a copy? *Sigh* It saddens me that my children will never know this most wonderious world for themselves, because, while a copy of the first book is easy to find, the next two are as slippery as a wyrm to find. I should know, because every time I find a copy, it is more than I am willing to pay. However, should you be willing to enter the quest for these books, the rewards of finding them are a lush, rich world that you'll never want to leave. I could go on and on about how much better this book is compared to current popular children's fantasy novels. Beleve me, once you read this, the siren call of Jah-lila the Red-Mare will never leave you and you will be wanting to desperetly know the second night of the tale...........................
