Summary: I'm hooked!
Review: I love this trilogy! I'm not really a fantasy lover, but I went out on a limb for this one and was rewarded in many ways! Each book in this trilogy is supurbly crafted into a separate yet connected piece; Birth of the Firebringer is my hands-down favorite, though.

Summary: Remember those grammar-school book clubs?
Review: I ordered this book back in 5th grade (about 12 years ago) from one of those clubs...Arrow, I think...for $1.00!!! I practically wore it out from reading it so many times. However, when I moved, the book disappeared. Why don't we see more books written for young adults like this one?

My whole idea of unicorns changed when I read this book. They weren't delicate little white wimpy things, they were hardened, tough warriors who came in deep, rich colours of every variety. I miss this book...and I missed the second in the trilogy...and I'm still trying to get the third. Read everything you can by Meredith Ann Pierce. Please.

Summary: one of the best
Review: I picked up this book at my local public library way back when I was in junior high and I simply fell in love with it. I couldn't put it down until I was finished and then went out searching for the other two in the trilogy. I must say that the first volume is the best. It has everything. Talking unicorns, friends and enemies, a colorful history, a prophecy in Jan who is destined to become the firebringer... Just as absorbing as The Last Unicorn, if not more.

Summary: the BEST unicorn book so far.
Review: i picked up this book from the library and i never put it down. it is all in all the most amazing book i've ever read. i didn't even know i liked fanasy books untill i read this. Ms. Pierce is certainly the only one who can combine real life and fantasy and get so many fans.
i have yet to find a book that's slpendor matched this timeless tale. -and believe me- i have tried. there is just no match to The Firebringer trilogy.

Summary: I WAS UNABLE TO PUT IT DOWN.
Review: I READ "DARK MOON" FIRST AND UNDERSTOOD PARTS BUT THEN ONCE I READ "BIRTH OF THE FIREBRINGER" I UNDERSTOOD EVERY LITTLE DETAIL. NOW I'M ON " THE SON OF SUMMER STARS" AND WISH THERE WAS A FOURTH BOOK. I LOVE HOW SHE GOES INTO DEEP DETAIL AND EXPLAINS EVERYTHING LIKE EACH UNICORNS COLOR AND SHAPE. I'M YOUNGER THAN MOST OF HER READERS BUT I UNDERSTOOD IT VERY WELL.

Summary: The best book I've ever read.
Review: I read Birth of the Firebringer last year, and I can't forget it. I love the book. I've been searching for it, but I cant find it. Jan, Tek, and Dag's story is incredible. A wonderful story of unicorns and magic.

Summary: Young Adult Section
Review: I read this book way back in 5th grade, along w/Clare Bell' Ratha books. It gave me a whole new opinion of what I considered at the time wimpy kids' books (At 10 I was a Stephen King fan). Not being able to check books out from the adult section, I read & re-read M.A. Pierce & Clare Bell's books until I had them committed to memory. Now that I'm trying to collect books of my lost childhood, Amazon has been a great help in finding sadly out-of-print books like these.
