Summary: Fire Fighter is at work!!!!!!!
Review: I think that this book has a lot of interesting stories, but it also has it's bad stories I'm still not done with this book I still have a couple of stories left. What I noticed about some stories is that when they end they leave you wondering on what happend after the ending of the story, because it wasn't a good enough ending. I don't seem to like stories like that. For the reason that If I read a story I expect to get the whole information and all the details and not to leave anything behind because I like my story with a true ending.

Review: I thought this was a good book that I have read all semster. At frist I thought this was going to be a borning book when I frist looked at it. But after I read it I thought differ from what I was thinking when I first looked at it.I enjoyed it because that was the only book that I had to read for an asignment. But if I had to read it agin or if I don;t have anything else to read I would read Leaving Home all over agin. I recommand this book to everyone who has not read it yet.

Review: I've enjoyed reading this book, not only were the stories short. But they were straight to the point, which is perfect for someone like myself who's not much of a reader.

Summary: so in love....
Review: Leaving Home is a book with different short stories. I read most of them and I think that they were interesting. some stories didn't have the happy endings that i wanted them to have but they are still good endings. two of my favorite were Dawn by Tim Wynne-Jones and On the rainy River by tim O' Brian because in both stories the main characters suffer emotionally and in the end of both storie the endings arent so bad. They were really good to read and understand. I love those kinds of stories. I do recomend this book especially people that like to read short stories instead of the 300 page novels. this is the book to read!

Summary: A wonderfull collage of short stories
Review: Leaving Home is a great book filled with 16 wonderful short stories by a terrific cast of writers. Some of those writers include Sandra Cisneros, Amy Tan, and Toni Morrison. If you are the type of person who enjoys reading about stories that pull at your heart and evoke feelings then this is the book for you. The stories in this book are about all different kinds of people that are forced to leave their homes for one reason or another, the problems that they encounter, and how they choose to deal with them. For example, one of my favorites is about a girl named Barnsey. She is forced by her parents to get on a bus and go visit her grandparents. While on this bus she happens to be seated next a significantly older and "freakish" looking girl named Dawn. As the bus ride progresses she gets to know Dawn and finds out that she is actually a very nice girl and is not all that dissimilar from herself. This is not the only kind of story in this book, ot just happens to be a personal favorite.

I have never really read a book like this before but I think after reading this one I might consider the idea. I'm not one that likes to sit down and read novels because I tend to loose interest about half-way through. I like the short stories because they are like condensed versions of the novels but I still seem to get as much out of them as I would anything else.

The only reason that I could see someone not enjoying this book is if they could not relate or connect with the stories. Since these stories are about actual events that took place to the authors then that could be possible. You just have to try and put yourself in their shoes and go along with it.
