Summary: My thought's.
Review: During our time we tend to read many book that honestly don't interest many people. I myself have read many books and "Leaving Home" a book with many short stories sure will be one of my favorites for now on. It is a book with many incredible stories about the authors personal experiences. After reading many of the short stories if Leaving Home I can honestly say their lives seem very familiar when I talk to friends about this book, In retrospect I myself found a story that sounded very familiar to my childhood. I truly recommend this book to anyone who loves to read as much I do.

Summary: leaving home: just a state of mind
Review: how many times have we gone through an overboring period in our teenage years when we felt that we couldn't expand our horizons? how many times were we either excited, concerned, or upset about something that happened during our chilhood? this is what leaving home is about, states of mind. it's easy to read a story, but it may not be that easy to live it. however, it's easy to picture it in your head, and that happens whenever a story is well-related. In Leaving Home you don't get anything besides plenty of well-related personal passages that changed somebody's life, and they can make you realize how or when did your life changed.

Summary: Great Book
Review: I have enjoyed reading Leaving Home for my English class. The editor did a great job in selecting short stories that all symbolize leaving home in some way. I especially enjoyed the story written by Judith Ortiz Cofer, due to the fact that i did a presentation on this story. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading short stories.

Summary: its nice
Review: i like it and the discussion of our class never stop
talking about this book. also the short story is well
written because of the author's life. they find
new beginning like the book called the circuit. it
is about a young boy who changes to another place.
also a lot of different stories that tell about life
struggling. some will show happiness and some will
be sad.
but anyways i like it and hopefully someone who will
read my review will know why i like the book.

Summary: WOW!
Review: I loved this book i thought I was the only one that this kind of stuff happened to. There is a story about a little girls first day of school it was really neat. Amy Tan wrote a cool story about chess very cool. This book is great and it will always keep you interested.

Summary: My opinion
Review: I really enjoyed the stories in this book. They made me think. I also enjoyed learning about the authors and their backrounds. It was different for me because I usually like to read long books rather than short stories. Each different story had it's own theme the author had to get his or her point across in a short amount of words. I have never been a fan of short stories, although I enjoyed this particular book I don't think that it has converted me to a short story fan. I still prefer long,"meaty" novels.

I really enjoyed reading Judith Cofer, and Amy Tan's work. I also enjoyed this book because there are alot of ethnic authors. Some of these authors spoke about their experiences they have endured.
