Summary: Robert Cormier makes fiction feel real
Review: This is one of those books whose words echo in your head for the rest of your life. You may forget the characters names, you may even forget the characters, but the essence of the book seeps into your fingers and colors your judgement. It is a subject that plagues the real world and cuts like a knife. It chills you to the bone like all of Mr Cormiers stories, and like all of them it fills you with appreciation for what you have

Summary: The Avenger has seen it all...
Review: Thrilling, chilling and verbose; three words to describe the emotional path Cormier takes you through each time you turn the page. "We All Fall Down" is one of Cormier's most impressive works and clearly demonstrates a perfect thriller in my eyes.

Robert Cormier's descriptive paragraphs and wording not only absorb the reader, but compel them to unravel the book even further. It is the story of the Avenger, Buddy and Jane, and follows the effects a random act of violence has on the three.

"We All Fall Down" is a rather disturbing novel, but at the same time, enjoyable. This book illustrates fate and how a slight twist of it can alter lives forever.

Summary: Robert Cormier at his best!
Review: Voila! Another incredible masterpiece by Robert Cormier, you might of asked youself why I gave a 100% rating for this novel the answer is simple; the plot is quite realistic, the characters are simple yet many can relate to them and finally the denoument: what can I say Cormier really knows how to wrap up a story even if most of his novels (Chocolate War, Fade, Beyond the Chocolate War...) have a sad yet surprising ending. If you are a mature reader you should not be offended by the subjects in this novel, alcholism and peer presure and I believe Robert treats these important subjects with dignity and respect. I pity the reader from seattle that put the book down after 20 pages, this novel is definetly a must read from cover to cover.

Summary: We All Fall Down
Review: We All Fall Down, by Robert Cormier is a well paced, exciting, young-adult fiction novel. This novel is easy to follow because of the limited number of major characters. This allows the author to fully exploit the remaining characters. The novel is full of twists and turns. It includes a multiple personality, murder plots, twisted love, and underage drinking. The main conflict occurs in the opening pages when a group of teenagers vandalize a Cape Cod cottage. I feel this was a very good and interesting story. It was easy to read and always kept you guessing. Although it has an obvious end result, it remains interesting and allows you to ponder as the story concludes.

Summary: Hmmm....Very Interesting
Review: Well, although I enjoy Robert Cormier's works, I must rate this one a four. Cormier , as usual, delved into the minds of the characters to the extreme, just as in the rest of his books. What I didn't like about We All Fall Down, however, was the lack of realism that is present in most of his other books. However, what saved this novel was the way in which Cormier presents both sides of the issue, which is a refreshing find in YA literature. All in all, this was a good book, but not his best.

Summary: A huge dissapointment from a great author
Review: What was Cormier thinking? I loved all his books up until now. This book was pretentious, unintellegent, extremely self-reightous novel that was unfocused, unfulfillig, unrealistic, and just plain bad. Cormier did propose some good ideas, and somehow got me through the whole thing. The idea of the avenger was okay for a while and what it turned out to be was neat (I was almost afraid he was blaming violence in television...close one). But the characters were very manufactured and contrived, and the book was just a disspointment.

Now let's analyze the allegory. That's right. Robert Cormier, an awesome awesome writer, uses metaphors to compare...alcoholism and the Black Plague? What the heck? Look, alcoholism isn't good, but it isn't the Black Plague! I all around do not recommend this book. Instead, read Fade or After the First Death or I am the Cheese or In the Middle of the Night because...sorry Cormier, this one did not work out at all.

Summary: We All Fall Down By:Robert Cormier
Review: When 14 yr old Karen Jerome comes home early from her friends house one day, she finds the front door open and ridiculous sums of noise coming from the house. When she goes in, she is greeted by Harry Flowers, one of the 4 vandals that broke into her home. When Karens Family and sister, Jane come home, they find that the house has been ruined. They find poop on the floors, urine on the walls, and beer cans all over. But worst of all, they find Karen laying at the bottom of the basement steps, barely alive. The Avenger is watching the whole thing, and being in love, or lust, with Jane, he is determined that the vandals will pay. When Jane Jerome starts dating Buddy, not knowing he's one of the vandals, she falls in love. When the Avenger see's this, he decides that Jane is a bad girl, and she will pay, not the vandals. The Avenger traps Jane, and tries to kill her, telling her that her boyfriend is one of the vandals. She couldn't believe it. He ends up killing himself and Jane is Okay. Karen comes out of her comma and Jane leaves Buddy forever. All in all, this was a great book. Robert Cormier leaves you thinking, and keeps you in great suspence. You'll never want to put this book down.
