Rating: Summary: A MUST READ BOOK- On the Devil's Court Review: On the Devil's Court is an intresting book written by Carl Deuker. It deals with a boy named Joe, who isn't really fantastic in any area of life. His main concern is to play varsity basketball, but he hasn't been playing so great. Then, a miracle happened. He is a star on his varsity team, one of the most popular kids in school, and a straight A student. Are these accomplishments of his hard work or is someone or something helping him!

Rating: Summary: On the Devil's Court Review: The book, "On the Devil's Court" is about a young man with a tough life at home and at school. This young man walks home from school everyday. As he is walking home one day he sees a basketball gym and decides to go and see what it's like. "He had no idea what he was getting himself into." Obviously the title of the book tells you that a deal was made and debts were owed. He plays at school and can't make anything and doesn't play well, he can't stand up to his father and has no guts. One time in this gym he decides to make a deal with the Devil that for one season in basketball he can be the best. He swishes his next shot. As his life goes on he changes and develops what he needs to compete in life. The pluses in this book are that it can hook you in and make it so that you don't move it away from your face. Also, it helps me develop what I can do in my life. Minuses were that it wasn't real and I can't ask for a perfect season. This book will help anyone gain the attitude that is needed to get to the top of whatever you do and learn to stay there with a great amount of confidence.
Rating: Summary: A Good Read Review: This book is very good. Not only does the book have a good storyline but the author was a teacher at a school my mom was a nurse for so I got the book signed by the author. If you like books about basketball then this is the one for you.
Rating: Summary: An ok book Review: This book was an unrealistic attempt at trying to imitate a high schooler's life. If the book hadnt mentioned the age of Joe Faust, I probably would have thought he was in 7th or 8th grade. Other than that the book was ok.
Rating: Summary: The Most exciting book I have ever read! Review: This book was great,Carl releated some things to real life in this book. But,People in life wwould really sell there soul to the Devil, if you haven't read this book you don't know what you are missing. It was so exciting I read it in one day!
Rating: Summary: A great book written wonderfully which you must read. Review: This is a great book about spiritual power and how far to the limit you would go just to get the power. A book with a great scence of basketball, and power. A must read. I think Grade 8's through Grade 12's would love it.

Rating: Summary: My favorite book when I was young Review: This is the book that sparked my interest in reading! When I was a junior in high-school a friend of mine read this book and recomended that I read it. Well I wasnt much of a reader but after this book that changed. I could really relate with the character of Joe because when I was in school I dearly wanted to be great at basketball. Carl Deuker did an excellent job with this book and any young person who is even remotely interested in sports should read it. Im 27 years old now and married and I recently bought a copy for myself because I love it so well. It will keep you turning the pages to the very end, even an adult will love this book!
Rating: Summary: This was the best sports book I have ever read! Review: This was a excellent book! It was very well written and was exciting and kept my interest the whole book. If you haven't read this book, you haven't experienced a good book!
