It is a tale that will never be forgotten once read. "I thought it was going to be a boring school book." "Until I read it" This book not only shows how sisters relate, but the horror of one who steals everything from another. I was very suprised at the details and page turning action that lead me to staying up the whole night.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: ABSOLUTLEY GREAT, I LOVED THIS BOOK! Review: From the title of the book, this book may appear to be a religious one, but it is not. Sara Louise's story of a unfair childhood against her younger twin sister was not a story of just jealousy or hate . . . I myself felt wronged when seeing how differently people treated Sara Louise ("Wheeze," everyone calls her) beside her sister. Facinating, a must read.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Now I know why everyone loves this book! Review: Many people will say Sarah Louise was just pitying her childhood, but they obviously just simply couldn't see the big picture. I myself am an older twin and was feeling the exact same way as the main character was when my friend suggested this book to me. I totally related to the main character, as will any other teen who has suffered in her life. And for those who have led the perfect childhood, those are the ones who hate the book, and I sympathize for them. All in all, GREAT BOOK!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated... Review: is the quote that carries through Katherine Paterson's heartwarming novel Jacob Have I Loved. This extremely well-written, descriptive book is perfect for the adolescent reader. It captures the feelings of an under appreciated teenage girl who lives in the shadow of her beautiful, shining twin sister. The book presents a wonderful message about the trials and importance of love and relationships. At one point in the text, to emphasize how Caroline received more love and attention than Sarah Louise, Caroline was given the opportunity to go to a very wonderful, very expensive school. Meanwhile, Sarah Louise was confined to her tiny island home. The story's most thought-provoking lessons are illustrated as Sarah Louise stands on her own, outside of Caroline's influence. We thorougly enjoyed Jacob Have I Loved and wholeheartedly recommend it because of the realistic situations that one can easily imagine.

Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: I found the book witty, but sort of dull Review: Katherine Patterson did a great job of really taking apart and breaking down Sara Louise's charecter, so that the reader got to view every aspect of it. However, the storylin was pretty dry at many points of the book, and di not have the excitement to really hold me to the book.
