Summary: "This is an operating table... and I'm the surgeon!"
Review: With a line like that how could this NOT be one of the greatest comic stories ever told. With Frank Miller's haunting perception of the future, this book is years ahead of any other Batman story out there. The story telling is brilliant and the art is spectacular. This book would be number 1 if it wern't for books like "Kingdom Come" or "Marvels" getting in it's way. This is one to read at night.

Summary: Best Comic Ever written
Review: Dark Night is the best Mini -Series ever written, period.Only a handful of books give me the feeling of reading comic history as this does. This and Kindom Come to be exact. This willbe remembered for as long as comics exist.

Summary: The one and only true to life chronicle of batmans future
Review: Through a mix of brilliant art work, story line, and dialogue, this Dark Knight title is the most definitive Batman book ever written about batmans life after he has returned from a 10 year retirement. The Dark Knight doesn't get any darker than this....

Summary: The Dark Knight
Review: Simply the greatest comic book ever made.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: "a bat, alfred is there to strike fear into criminals"
Review: The Dark Knight Returns is a comic which is more realistic then life itself. Miller knew exactly what the bat needed and he gave it to him perfectly. This book is a must to all fans all around the world G~

Summary: Batman comes out of retirement to whoop ass.
Review: Ten years after Bruce Wayne retires Batman, Gotham City is in chaos as psychos rip the city apart and sensitive humanitarians back-up their "socially misaligned" behavior, Bruce's alter ego fights back and enevitably wins to give criminals the justice they deserve. In the process he splits society in two.I recommend this book to everyone on Earth because it is second only to the Bible.

Summary: Not simply a "comic book"
Review: A dark, compelling look at a Batman at the end of his career (and the end of his rope). Th striking imagery and sharp text bring you the story of a world, and a Batman, that has to quote Stephen King "moved on." This is one of the best examples of graphic storytelling you will ever read. Not simply a "comic book," but a thoughtful story about heroes and the way we perceive them.

Summary: THE Batman story
Review: If you are just getting into Batman then read this book. Some of the older readers have a good idea about Batmans personality and the way he works, but if you dont know then this is the book to read. This story is done perfectly. I recommend this story to all Batman readers old or young.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Good, but there are better Batman stories out there
Review: This is definitely worth reading, but it is not as good as Batman: Year One (also by Frank Miller). Maybe it is just because I find the beginning more interesting than the end. Whatever the reason, I think both books are must reads for anyone who has ever had any exposure to Batman (Including those who have seen the old TV shows and movies) because THIS is the REAL (as real as he can be) Batman.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: This is what the Batman movies should have looked like!
Review: Did you enjoy the Batman movies? I know I did, but stillÅ  Nothing beats 'The Dark Knight Returns', the original comic by Frank Miller. So for the next film, they don't need a script, it's all there! Parental guidance advised!
