Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: An ok book Review: After reading High Stakes, I realised something. Why is Lisa STILL sticking to her decision of where to go to University? Her three main reasons to go there are as follows:1. Be near her friends and family, especially Alex 2. Be near Prancer, her soon-to-be-horse 3. Not have to be in a new state, all alone, with no friends And I was wondering, why doesn't Lisa go to Yale, was it?, with Scott? She'd easily be accepted, plus it would solve her problems. 1. She and Alex broke up 2. Prancer died 3. She'd be with Scott, who I think will turn out to be her new boyfriend Not to mention the fact her Mom's little decision would make staying in Willow Creek quite tough, and everyone would be happy with her. Just a thought, but I hope this happens!

Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: High Stakes (Pine Hollow, No 13) Review: An awesome book. Quite a bit of romance, but I liked it. There are definetly changes for Lisa and Carole and you will have to read #14 after you read this one.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Waiting for October... Review: As soon as I finished this book, I became curious as to what would happen next. Not only does it wrap up loose ends, but it keeps you in suspence as to what will happen in later books. What's going on with Ben? Does he actually like Carole? I am also very happy that Stevie and Veronica are at odds again I was afraid that whole dynamic was gone! I thought I had heard that Stevie, Carole , and Lisa were going out west to the Bar None in a later book. As anyone else heard that? That would be so cool if they did. It would be neat to know how everyone is doing four years later. The Pine Hollow series just keeps getting better, so keep up the great work, Ms. Bryant! *To everyone who thinks this series is actually written for children aged 9-12, like some of the reviews say, then you're wrong. It's really geared more toward young adults.*
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Wowee! Review: Bonnie Bryant had outdone herself this time! This is the most fantastic book she's written yet! The story line is strong adn detailed, leaving you dumbfounded at some points, and making you afraid to turn the page the next moment. Also, a lot of things are cleared up in this book. Lisa's decision on dating will really surprise you. As will Alex's. Callie is still working on finding a horse and she ends up with a big surprise in one of them. You'll be surprised too. Carole's boyfriend is really lovey dovey and it kindsof gets on your nerves the way they're constantly kissing and holding each other. But all in all, a GREAT read. Get this book. You WON'T be disappointed.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: One of the best yet! Review: Cam is back and Carole's finally got a boyfriend (VERY ROMANTIC! :))--besides Starlight! The two realize how much they really love each other while Lisa and Alex decide to take a break from their semi-rocky relationship...plus Lisa has to deal with her wierdo mother always messing up her life. Stevie makes an embarrasing mistake but is a good sport about it and Callie isn't having any luck finding a new horse. The story is strong and it's really cool how Carole and Lisa kind of switch places--can't wait to see what happens in the next one!

Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: The Best Pine Hollow Yet Review: I just finished High Stakes, Pine Hollow #13. All I can say is wow. So much happened in the 200+ pages it's unbelievable! Alex and Lisa have barely been broken up when Alex starts fishing around, for Nicole Addams. So Lisa has to decide whether or not she wants to start dating again. I guessed who she's go with, but it was still surprising to see the way he (I don't want to name names!) felt about her. And no matter how good they seem together, it's hard for me, as a reader, and Lisa to get used to it. Meanwhile, Carole's old blast from the past, Cam Nelson, has moved back to Willow Creek, and is letting EVERYONE know how he feels about Carole. They can't imagine life without eachother. and already Carole's planning their farm in the country, with her as Mrs. Cam Nelson. One relationship ends and a new one starts, right? But Lisa's about to face an even huger problem in her life. Her Mom's gotten a new, terrible idea in her head, and Lisa doesn't think she can cope. All these problems keep piling up, and on top of that, no matter how happy she is for them, seeing Cam and Carole so happy and in love isn't helping. But it's not all serious. There are some VERY funny bits about Stevie's idea in the previous book, that Scott Forester is secretly pining for her. And a few funny comments pop up when Callie begins shopping for a new horse. The perfect horse just can't be found, and with her luck that 'seasoned endurance Arab' will be a goat! Plus, her 'relationship' with a certain moon-faced, pudgy rider takes a highly interesting turn . . . All in all, this is a fantastic Pine Hollow book, and the most romantic of them all. If you like Pine Hollow books, this is not one to miss out on!

I agree the kissing and the lovey dovey acts did get a little out of hand and it did get a little bit on my nerves as well. Lisa is in for a big shock of her life as she finds out that some one she knows has feelings about her! I can't believe Alex would just got out and find another girl just like that! Even though I did see it coming in the last book! I can't wait to read the next book that is coming out, its really starting to get intresting! MORE I want MORE!
