Rating: Summary: Don't listen to the others. This book [stinks]! Review: I could not believe how bad this book was. If you think the title is corny, the book tops it easily. Every character in this book and everything they say is a cliche, I didn't care about any of them. Some of the lines are so bad that they almost made me laugh. Such lines as "The sight of Buff peeing in his pants kept bugging me." or "Can an alcoholic sing like that?" The characters know less about alcoholism than a 5'th grader who has been through DARE. At the end of the book when buff gets treatment, it does not say anything about that. But that was done so the authur could get away with knowing nothing about teen alcoholism. The teens in this book a absolute steriotypes, this is an insult to all teenagers. If you are an intelligent person, don't read this book. If you have read as many books or seen as many movies as most people, you will find noting original or interesting. This book deserves zero stars.
Rating: Summary: really good choice Review: i think this book should be read by alot of teenagers because its really similar to many of the situations in high school so i think that if you get a chance to read this you should u wouldnt be disapointed.
Rating: Summary: The book was very interesting and moving Review: I thought that this book was moving because it showed how alcohol can affect people's lives. Buff and his father drank too much, and it practically ruined their lives. The father was always picking on Buff for not doing things that he liked. They would get into fist fights, and Buff would try to solve his problems by drinking. But the drinking didn't solve his problems, it made them worse. It just gave him more problems to deal with. But after reading this book, I will think twice about drinking on a regular basis.
Rating: Summary: Well done Review: I thought this book was engaging. After a couple of sittings, I had this book done. The basic theme to this book goes along with what you'd expect, alcoholism is a disease which needs to be dealt with. I don't recall all the people's names in the book, however the only people you really need to focus on is Buff and his father. The whole idea of the book is how alcoholism destroys families and breaks down relationships. It made for a very fast paced book indeed. If this book had flaws, I didn't pick up on them. The book had me drawn in.
Rating: Summary: It was a outstanding book Review: It shows real life problems.I think this would be a great book for alcoholics.
Rating: Summary: Rochelle White Buff Needed a Friend Review: The Book "The Boy Who Drank Too Much" is a great book for teens. Because it helps them to understand the reason not to drink. The new kid at Chicopee High School was Buff Saunders. He was a born skater. Much too good for 3rd string, but because of his atitude, coach kept him there. None of the kids really liked him. He just seemed too odd and mean. Not the right kind of kid to hang out with. His father was almost a star hockey player and is now determined to push Buff to the limit. Buff and his father only have each other now since his mother died. His father is an alcoholic and buff followed in his footsteps. Buff had a problem which needed serious help. He became friends with a boy who helps him. but he has to start with Buff's father! The author of this book used sensery language when discribing what Buff and his friend had for dinner. The author also used a surprise ending but in order to find out you must read the book. At first you'd think the book "The Boy Who Drank Too Much" isnt that great but after you really start reading it, it becomes interesting. I personaly dont like the name of this book. I dont htink its interesting. It should be more catchy. Once I started reading I couldnt put it down!

Rating: Summary: Its Like Everyday Life Review: The book The Boy Who Drank Too Much is a really awesome book. It is very down to Earth because the events in the story are what happen in everyday life. You get really caught up in the book it is so good. This also teaches you a lesson on why not to drink and how it can hurt you. The book deals with everyday problems for people. This is definitely a book for people who like sports, especially hockey. Reading The Boy Who Drank Too Much might change the way people drink or help athletes to stop drinking. I'm really glad that I read this book; it was fun to read and is a really great book.
Rating: Summary: This book shows you how drinking can affect families. Review: The book was overall well written and kept me interested. Now I understand how drinking can be a family problem. For Buff and his father it pushed them apart. It made them have fights and arguments that otherwise they might not have had. Things probably wouldn't have turned out the way they did if Mr.Saunders didn't start drinking.
Rating: Summary: Review On The Boy Who Drank To Much Review: The Boy Who Drank To Much is a exciting book and it tells how much drinking can effect your life, and other family memebers that you love and care about. Buff gets into drinking with is father, and his father is an alcoholic and if his father doesnt get what he wants he starts to yell. Because of this Buff and his father would fight all the time. Drinking can effect what you do, and what you say to others. I suggest that everyone should think on what can happen to them, if they become an alcoholic or if someone they know is an alcoholic.
