Rating: Summary: loved it Review: this book is a thriller and a tear jerker. sorry i sound so much like a payed book critic in the first sentence. but it is. the poetry is just stunning and the rest of the book its self is just amazing. i read and reread it for a whole summer. my copy has tape on the spine from me reading it so much. i recrememd this book to anyone who loves to read or even doesn't like to read alot. but you should really read the begining of the series before this one to get a grip of what is going on. you'll love this book as much as i do. trust me.
Rating: Summary: Bloody Marvellous Review: This book is Amazingly Fantastic Better Than the First but not as good as the third, the third is not as good as the 5th and the 6th released on the 1st of October in AUS. Beats the lot. The American Covers are dissapointing, The Australian covers are better than the American ones in the way that they don't show the Characters faces, this is good because once u see a picture of a character you don't visualise them in your own way u look at them as the cover does. Still it is a good book
Rating: Summary: One of the best books I've ever read Review: This book is only the second in a series of six books, and this one is one of the better ones. It stars five teenagers but the narrator and most important character in Ellie. Not only do the five of them try to find freedom by hiking somewhere else, we are also treated to them blowing one of the streets in their city to atoms. While at the same time the five of them are trying to live with each other without driving each other nuts and fight their enemy at the same time. It's really a pity however that the other four books haven't made it to the U.S. yet. Although I hope they do soon so everyone here will get the chance to read them too. You should always however start with the first book so that some of the events the other books talk about are clearer and so that you get to know the personalities of the characters better.
Rating: Summary: from nniwa@mailexcite.com: Review: This is an EXCELLENT book, but read 'Tomorrow, when the war began' first.this is the second book in a series of 4.
Rating: Summary: It was so good I read it again. Review: This is one of two Casefiles that I have re-read. It was an absorbing tale that kept me on the edge of my seat. This mystery was a true psychological thriller, in which both Frank and Joe have to decide if what they are seeing is real or not. And, it touches them on a very personal level, especially Joe who is "haunted" by not only his current girlfriend, Vanessa, but by his former love, Iola Morton. A great job and well worth reading.
Rating: Summary: A gripping adventure series of survival and teen issues. Review: This is the second of a series of now 5 books and continues the story of Ellie and her friends surviving on their own wits and resources after the country has been invaded. Although set in Australia, Marsden has written a book which captures the imagination of young adolescents from everywhere. A big hit with my 12 year old and his friends and a good read for parents who like to know something of what their kids read.
Rating: Summary: MORE MORE MORE Review: When my grandmother gave me two books by John Marsden, I had not heard of him. The two books I got were Tomorrow: When the War Began and Dead of Night. When I read the first one, I couldn't find the second, but I'm glad I did. The book was absolutely excellent. Usually I read adult fantasy--I'm 15--but this was such an excellent book that I'm ordering via Grandma the rest of his books. I'm shocked, and thrilled, that Mr. Mardsen has many books so I can, that much sooner, become a devoted fan. I'm excited to get them. Even as I write, I have just finished reading the book and writing all the books down to get. A word of advice...READ THIS BOOK!
