Review: I am not easy to impress. When I purchased this book, I didn't expect much - it was written when Anders Bruce was 10, after all! However, I found this book so thoroughly enjoyable I've reread it several times! Mr. Bruce has an original plot that rarely, if ever, 'borrows' from other science fiction. His flowing language and vivid descriptions are spectactular. I recommend The Early Battles and the rest of the Galaxy Defenders series to anybody of any age!
