Summary: This book was sooooo good!
Review: Annie Lockwood travels back in time to save the man she loves, Strat.Strat is in an asylum when Annie finds him. In the end,Annie and Strat don't get to be together. I was sooo sad. This book was awesome! Parts of it were a little confusing. Characters popped in and out of the story. They seemed unimportant and sometimes made the book hard to follow. During most of the book, I was on the edge of my seat, eager to read on. I love the way Cooney writes her books and goes into such detail. I totally recommend this book!

Summary: Very good, but some questions are not answered.
Review: At the end of 'Both Sides of Time' Annie Lockwood thought she was falling farther back in time than the 1800's. This is, to my disapointment, is not mentioned in 'Out of Time.' Other than that, this book showed unique qualities, such as the acknowledgement that you don't have to be blond to be beautiful, and that heroines can be beautiful, contrary to the trend of making the heroines ugly and having them be jealous of some blond.

Summary: I really enjoyed this sequel to Both Sides of Time.
Review: Cooney did an excellent job continuing the story of Annie and Strat and their star-crossed romance. I'm sure that many readers want the two to end up together, but Cooney recognizes that although Annie loves the century Strat lives in, she can not run away and escape from her problems and responsibilities in the 20th century. Cooney sends a great message to the readers of young adult literature. Escape is ok, but in the real world people have to deal with their problems, like Annie does in this excellent read.

Summary: Passes the test of time
Review: I cannot tell you how I love this book. I was probably around 14 when I first read it and have read it several times since. I found myself rereading it tonight and as a college student I still find myself enchanted with it. This book is perfect for romantics like myself. The descriptions are breathtaking and the love story is very moving. I cried this time because I am in a long distance relationship and found myself relating all too well with Annie. In short, read this book and its predecessor! I have yet to read the sequels but hope to soon.

Summary: Out of Time was average.
Review: I didn't really like this book; it started out slow and never really sped up. The book was not very long but it could have been much shorter. I think that the book was dragged out making it longer than what it needed to be. Also, it was confussing at the beginning because it kept switching to different character's point of view during the chapters. I think that the book could have been just as good if it stuck with only one or two characters and still be good. Instead the author portrayed almost every character's point of view. I thought it made it con fussing but someone else may like it.
This book is about a fourteen year old girl named Anna Sophia Lockwood who can go through time. She had visited time before and fell in love with a boy named Strat who belongs to a rich family. When she comes to visit again she finds out that Strat's dad had put Strat into an asylum because he talked to other people about Anna going through time. Even thought the whole family knew it was true they would not admit it to the public that way the public didn't think that the whole family was crazy. Devony was Strat's sister and she was very mad at Anna because she screwed up their perfect life. Devonny tells Anna that it was all Anna's fault and tells Anna to rescue Strat from the asylum because Devvony for her dad is controlling what she can and can not do.
Anna now has to fit in with another century and avoid the dangers of not having a male escort. [Many women in those days were thought to be an outcast of a family if they don't have escorts.] Anna has to overcome many hardships in order to survive the wilderness on her own; also she has to look out for Devvony's fiancé who will stop at nothing in order to get Devvony's family fortune.

Summary: Much better than the first one!
Review: I found this book much more enjoyable than the first one in the trilogy. I only have a few complaints. First, it got too sappy and romantic. Second, there were some mistakes. The author mentions some of the 1890's characters visiting the New York Public Library with the lions in front of it, which wasn't completed until 1911, and the Grand Central Terminal with the painting of the night sky on the ceiling, which wasn't completed until 1913. Before that, Grand Central Terminal was a rather simple red brick building.

Summary: No Time Like the Present..
Review: I have not read the others in the series but this one's truly great! About a boy from the past, imprisoned in a mental institution because of his talk of time-travel,and the girl born a hundred or so years later, who is in love with him and will once again travel the distances of time, to free him.

Summary: A story that makes you sob at times
Review: I have read this book twice, and my friend introduced me to "Both Sides of Time," and then we both found "Out of Time." It's sad, but a veery good book. A perfect gift for Christmas, especially if you include "Both Sides of Time" and "Prisoner of Time."
