Summary: Entertaining with no real literary value
Review: I enjoyed all of Judy blume's young adult books when I was younger. Now that I am older (and so are her characters) I have higher standards which this book doesn't necessarily fulfill them. Don't be mistaken, the book is an enjoyable light summer read but I wouldn't expect it to win any awards. A good summer time read if you don't want to think too much

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: A very shallow book with a tidy little ending
Review: Judy Blume should stick with the preteen set if this is as good as it gets. The story was pale and the ending was trite. With all of the great story tellers out there, how did this get on the best seller's list? I gave it a 2 star rating because it was easy to read...too easy. Shear drivel.

Summary: Just didn't want this book to end!
Review: When I picked up the book "Summer Sisters" I picked up someone elses life! This wonderful book is an escape into the interesting friendship of Vix and Caitlin. I related to the girls friendship almost immedialty. Is there going to be a sequel to this book? I hope so!

Summary: A book for teens too!
Review: Some people don't think kids these days know alot about sex and love. When I read this book I knew it was the best book that I have ever read by Judy Blume. I am almost a teenager and I love Judy blume books. She makes me know there is someone that can also relate to my feelings. I loved this book and hope everyone can have as good of friends as Catlin and Vix.

Summary: Great! Exciting!
Review: I have read all of Judy's books and I am very pleased with Summer Sisters. I felt like I was there, following the characters around. I was disappointed in the ending. I look forward to reading more of Ms.Blume's books. I'd like to chat with Judy Blume fans. Please e-mail. Gee

Summary: A Trip To Your Own Past...
Review: I am a 48 year old female whose girls read Blume when they were growing up. I found the book reminisant of my own summers. It feels like a Blume is a "tattle tale". Those were secrets, and now everyone knows. I recommend it.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Not the 'Judy Blume' caliber I had expected.
Review: This book was a quick and easy read. It was entertaining enough, but it was not to the same caliber of writing I remembered from Judy Blume. I liked the different view points she wrote from, and it was a good summary of real live events that happened during those 20-some years. However, I felt that the plot was somewhat predictable.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: If you grew up with Judy Blume you will love this book.
Review: I read this book in a day. After the first couple of chapters I could not put it down! Reading Judy Blume was like catching up with an old friend.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: I couldn't put the book down!
Review: The story of Vix and Caitlyn drew me in! Following them through their childhood, teens, and early adulthood, I could feel their disappointments, their joy, their pain. Judy Blume does such a great job of describing exactly what the characters are feeling. The hot humid summer days, the drenching summer storms, all of it! I felt as if I were sitting on a porch, on Martha's Vineyard, watching the story unfold before me! It was one of those stories that I hated to see end!
