Summary: Absolutely Spellbinding!
Review: I have been a Judy Blume reader since my middle school days, and for those who grew up during the '80s like myself, you won't be able to put this one down! It has echoed my life to a tee!!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: The book was incredible.
Review: I ordered this book on amazon, and received it in three days. Two days later i was finished. I couldn't put it down! Each night i stayed up just to read more into the tumultuous friendship between Caitlin and Vix. A wonderful story for any girl or woman who likes to read about friendships and boys and how the two interfere with each other.

Summary: Always loved Judy Blume, now at 25, I can still enjoy her!
Review: Summer Sisters really took me back and through my life with old friends! Unfortunately, the tightest of friends can easily betray each other! Blume always has a way of making her characters come to life and her descriptions take you right to the setting. After reading this book I was wondering if Ms. Blume would create a sequel?! I would also like to commend the author for writing adult novels... keep it up!

Summary: My All-Time Favorite Novel
Review: I'm a soon-to-be 16 year old from Iowa that has read many great books throughout my life but Summer Sisters blew them away. I was a big Judy Blume fan after reading "Forever..." and found this one on Amazon.com. It is a great story that you might be shocked with the story line at first, but in the end you will want to read it all over again ! I have - 3 times !!!

Summary: Clear understanding on American youngster mind and mood
Review: Excellent..The American people are very different from the Chinese. I think the book serves a good job in reflecting the minds and moods of the American youngsters. A definite page turner. Judy Blume is skilful enough to mesmerize the readers by drifting the change of the relationship of the Summer Sisters is the central story line.

Summary: Couldn't Put It Down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Review: I loved this book. I could hardly put it down. The plot was great and so were the characters! If you like books in a timeline sequence this would be a good book for you. The ending will leave you wondering though....... Blume mixes human emotions. I laughed and cried and sometimes both at the same time.

Review: i liked this book very much. I wasnt's sure if i was going to like it in the beginning. But the characters are very interesting and keep the story moving fast. It was hard to put the book down as i wanted to know what was going to happen next. I would definatly recommend this book for summer, vacation, or holiday reading.

Summary: Summer Sisters is a great "Summer" read!
Review: I read "Summer Sisters" in one day! I happened to have plenty of time, but it was one of those books that I didn't want to put down! Caitlin and Vix are two distinct personalities and both are likeable: Caitlin is the rich-girl from a broken family (former hippies as parents) and Vix (Victoria) is the classmate Caitlin picks to spend a summer with her on Martha's Vineyard. The story takes both girls through puberty to adulthood. It has a bit of a twist to the ending (which I liked). Judy Blume has "done it" again! Lie down in the hammock and enjoy "Summer Sisters!"

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Wrong target market, Judy!
Review: Poor Blume wants to make her mark in the adult fiction market badly, and it shows in "Summer Sisters." Too bad her writing style is reminiscent of the books she wrote for adolescents. I had a sense of what Blume was striving to portray, however, she never really got me into the consciousness of her characters; they were two-dimensional cut-out characters who were flat and predictable. Reading this book was like watching a made-for-t.v. movie when the picture tube is blown. There is nothing wrong with realizing one's own limitations, and I think Blume should concentrate on writing children's books and leave the adult market for writers who are more qualified.
