Summary: A Good Read
Review: This book was an easy read and quite enjoyable. However, I was completely fed up with the character of Caitlin and what a self-absorbed poor little rich girl she was made out to be. And Vix shouldn't have been nicknamed "cough drop" but "doormat". I lost all sympathy for both by the end of the book.

Summary: Great summer read!
Review: I read this book in one day, and I'm not even a big reader. You just can't put the book down as you become so involved with the characters. This is a must read, but I think you need to atleast be in your early 20's to truly relate to the emotions and relationships.

Summary: sluggish through the beginning but worth reading in the end
Review: My best friend informed me that I had to read this book and get back to her. After half a day of straight reading I was glad I made it through the first, drawn-out 250 pages. At times I felt that the language called too much to her younger crowd but nevertheless it was a real time machine back to the early days of my closest friendships.

Summary: I just loved it!
Review: Of all of the books I've read recently only "The Memoirs of a Geisha" and "The Triumph and the Glory" have moved me as profoundly as "Summer Sisters". The style was captivating, Blume has done a wonderful job on this book, enjoy yourself, I did!

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: not worth it
Review: This book went really fast when I read it but I really don't reccomend it. It's pretty boring, the characters cliche and tiring. I expected so much more from Blume.

Summary: This is Adult Fiction?
Review: I read Judy Blume when I was young and thought I would give her adult fiction a try. Unfortunately, it felt like I was reading a Harlequin Romance and not something I would call good fiction. However, I liked the two main characters, Victoria and Caitlin, although I couldn't always understand where their emotions were coming from, especially at the end. I also think that the other characters' viewpoints were not needed and did not add anything to the book that the reader could not already know and appreciate. I hope that Blume sticks to children's fiction in the future, because that's what she's best at.

Summary: It was a book I'll never forget.
Review: I'm only 14, but I've read all of Judy Blume's books for young adults, so I decided to try her newest adult one. It took me awhile to get into the book, but when I was done it left a lasting impression. Judy Blume was able to create these fictional characters that were SO real, and she painted a beautiful picture of teen life as we know it. I can't wait for her next book.

Summary: Stop! Don't read this book
Review: This book is trash. I can't believe it's still on bestseller lists and that I see people buying it all the time. It is neither well-written nor of good content. People should spend their time reading works of literature, not a novel of the third-grade level. I understand that sometimes readers want a book for entertainment only, but many others of better quality could just as easily fit the bill.

Summary: Wonderful To Read, it sucks you in and won't let you go!
Review: I really loved this book. It was one of those that you could not put down. I would recomend this book to ANYONE that does not like to read and those of us who do. I think that it would get people to read again. I have always LOVED Judy Blume and now that I know that she writes adult books, I am going to read all of them! IT was a EXCELLENT book! I want to go to an Island now!!!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Page-Turner
Review: I grew up reading Judy's novels and this was no disappointment. I loved the way she made me feel angry about Caitlin and all the ways she used Vix, but Vix was so overwhelmed just to be her friend. All I have to say is WOW.
