Summary: A very touching and real book
Review: This was a very good book I just couldn't put it down. I can remember reading Forever in the sixth grade and thinking I shouldn't be reading this. She is a great story teller who keeps you reading. I guess this story is so specail to me because I once had a beach house and a summer sister, where I no longer go and who I no longer talk to. I pass this book to all of my friends with the promise that they really read it and once they start, they also can't not put it down! enjoy

Summary: Intense and realistic
Review: I couldn't put this book down. I loved the way the writing changed as the characters grew older. I felt as though I was growing up with them. I haven't read Judy Blume since I was a kid, and in fact, didn't know until recently that she wrote adult works. I am pleased that she does. This book is a must read.

Summary: great for summer reading
Review: I enjoyed this book. The time frame inwhich it took place was great because I was about that age at that time. It is just a great book to read for enjoyment.

Summary: Judy Blume makes a friendship come alive
Review: This was a great book! I'm 14 and I read this 375 page book in half a week. But not all teens would enjoy this. It does have very adult situations so watch it. I liked the childhood part better (teen part) but that's probably because I could relate to it better. The only thing I didn't like was the very end. I won't spoil it but the epilogue is what I'm talking about. I felt like she didn't know how to end it so she thought that was the only way to put closure to it. Overall it was a spectacular book and I'm glad I own it!

Summary: Good Judy Blume; Predictable Ending.
Review: I read this book on the beach, as I do with most books. It was an easy read, interesting characters, and a good plot. BUT...I could see the ending coming a mile away. It almost seemed the author was tired of her own story, and needed to put it to bed. It is a good book, don't get me wrong, but another 50 pages would have given the ending a better chance.

Summary: This book has everything that can possibly make a book great
Review: Romance, family problems of every kind, "current" events, and suspense. There's something for everybody to like and not like. What could be a better summer read for a young woman!?!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: I was captivated by the stories of the girls in this book.
Review: I read a lot of Judy Blume's books as I was growing up. I'm so glad she has started writing for adult readers. I really enjoyed "Summer Sisters." I couldn't put it down. The book made me laugh and at times I wanted to cry. However, I was a little disappointed with the end. After following the lives of the two girls from their young teens to their 30's, I wanted to know more. I would like it if Blume would write a sequel.

Summary: A real Page turner! Loved it!
Review: I too like many of the readers am in my early 30's.. I have read Judy Blume as a teen and loved her work then, and Summer Sisters is no exception! I couldn't put the book down! The references to the events of the 70's and 80's were wonderful as well as I relived my teen years..Can't wait for the next one!!

Summary: This book was great!
Review: As a teen, I think this book was great. I read it within 24 hours. I couldn't put it down.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Nice aroma, good body, but a very dry finish!
Review: I fell right away for this book as it took me through the difficult teenage years we all try not to remember. As I was lured through to the end, I expected, as most of us would, a creative finish where one exhales and at the close of the cover. But, instead, was greeted with what seems to be a rushed and not well thought out ending. The plot and characters are well illuminated, but their actions seem less than credible.
