Summary: Story good, writing poor
Review: Summer Sisters was an interesting story, but Blume's writing was so weak that I found myself skimming most of the time. Everything in this book was "told" not "shown" and after a while, I felt like I was reading a news report.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: It surprised me!
Review: I grew up reading Judy Blume's kids books, so the maturity level of Summer Sisters caught me by surprise. However, I really enjoyed this book. Often I think about how different my life would be if I did one something differently, so I could relate to the main character as she grew up wondering what would her life be like if she hadn't met Caitlin. This story also made me appreciate the wonderful people and things I have in my life, and makes me look forward to what people and things may come.

Summary: Horrible! Under 15 crowd might enjoy
Review: Someone needs to tell Judy most of her readers have grown up

Summary: I loved this book1!!!!
Review: This book must have been nearly the story of my life. I was always the girl that did not have a lot of money and my best friend was very well off. She and her family exposed me to things that I may have never had a chance to see. This was just one of those books that make you laugh and cry.

Summary: A good light read
Review: This was a good beach read. It was a cute story, easy to follow without much concentration, and I liked the characters. Judy Blume has an understanding of human nature that makes me laugh or makes me squirm.

Summary: This book is excellent!!
Review: What an entertaining story! It only took me a day and a half to read it because I couldn't put it down! My best friend, Ann Marie was half way through it when she called me and told me I had to get it. She and I have already planned "Summer Sisters: The Movie". We are still trying to decide exactly who we want to play each of the characters! We are in agreement that Meg Ryan should play Caitlin but we can't decide who we want to be Victoria. Maybe when Ms. Blume is ready to sell the script, she could contact us for advice!! From the very beginning of the book, I was singing along with all the songs which took me back to those wonderful teenage years. She left me with such a good feeling but made me miss my best friend more than ever!

Summary: Fabulous - all women over 30 should read this book.
Review: This book took me back to my many summers with my best girlhood friend - and added some wild surprises along the way! A wonderful, can't-put-down story of friendship that lasts through years of ups and downs. Realistic, funny and poignant; I highly recommend this book.

Summary: This story sticks with you!!
Review: I read this story on vacation last month, and I still find myself often thinking about it. For anyone who's ever had a best friend, this book is for you!! I couldn't put it down. This is definately one of the best books I've read...and it had a great ending!!!

Summary: Emotional
Review: Summer Sisters has to be one of the most intriguing books of all times. The characters were so amazingly well developed, I had a strict picture in my mind. Being only 15, I do realize that some of the issues the two teenagers faced were purely fantasies of most of todays adolescents, but that did not make the book any less interesting. I finished the book in less than a week, a record for me, and read it three more times since. I would recommend this book for any and all.
