Summary: Wonderfully written!!!
Review: I thought this book was great, finished it in less than 24 hours. I would definatly reccomend it to my friends and it proves that Judy Blume can do it all.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: The continuation of FOREVER, and is a book for teenagers.
Review: I read this book because as a teenager I read all of the JudyBlume books and I loved them. As an adult I thought, this book saysfor adult readers and it must be equally interesting, but with adult content. Well, I was really dissapointed when I read the book and I felt like a teenager, its content was more for young adults than for adults. The sex scenes in the book are very inmature and childish, and the language overall was not challenging. I think Judy Blume is still a Teenager writer and should not make books for adults unless she matures the language and content of the story.

Summary: I can't believe how good it was
Review: This had to be one of the best books i have ever read, besides "The Notebook". I couldn't put it down at times, i just felt like reading untill my eyes hurt, and even then i would continue reading. It made me feel like i had to turn that page to see what happens next, a masterpiece. It will make you feel like your right there, and it will make you laugh and cry.

Summary: Emotional Rollercoaster!!!
Review: Summer Sisters was an amazing book! I had trouble putting it down! The book was a little wierd at times especially when the subject of "the power" was brought up. Minus the parts about "the power" that the girls shared between them I thought this book related well to girls because most of us girls have a close friend that we spend lots of time with and whom we never get sick of. I read this book during the summer and I really felt like I was a part of Vix and Caitlin's summers, their memories and the fun times they shared reminded me of times well spent during my past summers. Judy Blume captures the lives of these two teenagers at an awkward stage in their lives yet she displays their characters beautifully in a way that she makes them feel real to the reader. Everyone I believe goes through a stage in their lives where they want to be someone else, Vix has always been fond of Caitlin and she loves her summers on the Vinyard because she gets to live in the world that Caitlin lives in everyday, Vix is able to escape her everyday pressures by sliping into Caitlin's care free world. This novel makes the reader feel a little of evey emotion, from laughter and crying to jealousy and anger, I find that the emotions a reader feels while reading a novel is what makes a book so enjoyable.

Summary: This was one of those books that was impossible to put down.
Review: Summer Sisters was one of those books that was impossible to put down. You just had to know what was next in Vix and Caitlins lives. Judy Blume described her characters very well. It was almost as if you knew Vix and Caitlin personally. In this book I felt that the girls each had their own seperate families and lives that were both very different but the two of them came together each summer in Martha's Vineyard as if they were their own little family. It was almost as if neither one of them had other lives. I really enjoyed the different voices of each character. It was wonderful to hear how everyone felt about all the different situations. It was a really neat perspective. I thought it was great to see the dark and the light side of this friendship because no friendship is perfect. It really bothered me though how Caitlin took off and moved away as if her and Caitlin's friendship meant nothing. I didn't like Cailtlin's character very much. It seemed as though she was very irresponsible. Throughout this book I could really relate to it. How Caitlin and Vix drift apart. I feel that I am slowly drifting apart from my friends. I would definatly recommend this book to someone who enjoys fast reads. I found it to be very inspiring.

Summary: AN ALL-NIGHTER!
Review: I read this book straight through without putting it down once. I was very "iffy" at first when ordering this book.....but after the first couple of chapters, I was glad I did. A round of applause for Judy Blume!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: All Judy Blume fans must read this book !!!!!!!!
Review: The novel 'Summer Sisters ' by Judy Blume unfolds over almost twenty summers in the lives of two young women from 1977 when they're 12 to 1995 when they celebrate their thirtieth birthdays.

In Judy Blume's first adult book in fifteen years, both the story and the girls will quickly capture the reader's intrest. The author's treatment of special childhood memories, the trials and joys of adolesence, and the magical possibilities of summer make this book a definite good read.

It took me less than a week to read this masterpiece. I have been a fan of Judy Blume since her ' Freckle Juice ',' Sheila The Great,'Tiger eyes' and 'Superfudge' days. Having grown from a child to a young adult with the help of her books on my night stand has made me appreciate this novel much more than just any reader would. The characters are multi-dimensional and you can really feel for them. When Vix's mother moved to Key West I was tempted to get in my car and ask her what she's doing abandoning her family. Then I remembered it was just a story. I would recommend this book for any and all.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Disappointing...
Review: I was greatly anticipating reading this novel as I read all of Judy Blume's novels as a teenager, but I found the characters in this novel to be too one-dimensional. I found it difficult to become attached to the characters for this reason. Caitlin's character just became annoying, and I found it difficult to feel any sympathy for her. I also found the writing style to be very flittery and found myself skipping through the story unable to get attached to any of the characters. The storyline was also too soap-opera like and simplistic to feel any kind of depth in this book. You expect to come away from reading this book with a reminder of your close friendships as a teenager, but the storyline and characters were so shallow, I walked away empty. Disappointing.
