Review: I'm fifteen years old and think that this book is just as great for teenage girls as it is for adult women. I started reading this book the minute that I bought it and didn't put it down until I finished it, later that day.

Review: Bits and pieces of your childhood creep into your memory as you read each delightful escapade of these two characters who are interwoven in their search for life's offerings. You love and hate them and come to understand the whys of each path chosen. As an elementary teacher whose classroom is filled with Judy Blume's books, I found myself relishing each character in the story and awed by the fact that this was another Judy Blume. Thoroughly enjoyable!

Review: Summer Sisters is absolutely captivating. I was hooked right from the start, coming to care deeply about these characters. Judy Blume defines characters through realistic dialogue, and she doesn't waste time with nonessential details -- she gets right to the point. The stepmother in this story, Abby, is worth the entire book. Judy Blume creates characters who live with you even after you've finished the last page.

Review: I am a fourteen year old girl and I loved the book. I immediately made all of my friends read it and they all loved it too. This book can be enjoyed by anyone. Especially if you have a best friend.

Review: I enjoyed "Wifey", her first adult novel, quite a bit more. I have read every single one of her young adult novels and loved them all; I'm encouraging my children to read them as well. I was disappointed in "Summer Sisters", I found it to be more similar to paperback romance novels than to the quality I'm used to from this author. A good beach read, but once read, soon forgotten. I found Caitlin annoying and Vix one-dimensional. Ellen Feldman, Elizabeth Berg, Beth Gutcheon do this genre so much better

Review: I like to read; however, I do not read frequently. When I choose a book, I want to make sure that it is captavating. Summer Sisters fits this description. Judy Blume has done an excellent job of combining friendship, romance and family in Summer Sisters. It is 400 pages, but will seem like 100 (easy reading). Two friends come together every summer and explore friendship and most of all romance. The storey line lets you look in to how people grow apart, but always remain friends. Don't think of Judy Blume as only writing plots you read when you were a child or young adult. She will surprise you in the first chapter. Please buy it today! You wil not regret it! I highly recommend Summer Sisters.

Review: What a great read I was taken from the first page and two days later I was done and wished there was more. It was light and easy and brought me back to summer friends and my teenage years. I can't wait to pass this book around to my friends. I always thought of Judy Blume as a childrens author now I can't wait to try some of her other books. I am hooked!!
