Rating: Summary: Best Book I have EVER read Review: This was the best book. My friend recommended that I read the book and now I'm glad that I did. At first I was hesitant to open the book, but one day the power went out and I sat oustide and started reading it. I read the book in 2 days--and that's strange for a 17 yr. old. This was an amazing book, there was something about it that I just liked. From the first page to the last page, it was the greatest book. I highly suggest that everyone read this book. The friendship that Vix and Catlin had was truly unique. (One of those friendships that last forever.) This is A MUST READ BOOK! :-)
Rating: Summary: I thought the book was great it took me only 2 days to read Review: I usually read romance or true crime books. This book is fantastic. I liked it because of the friendship the two girls had and because it could've been a true story unlike other books sometimes make you feel like your in fantasy land not this book. I think everybody should read it atleast once and pass it on to a friend.
Rating: Summary: Fast moving novel, geared towards younge adults Review: I am a big Judy Blume fan and once again she has not let me down. I found Summer Sisters to be a fast moving novel definately geared towards younge adults. The book told the life of two girl that may or may not be easy to relate to. Either way it is a fast book that will take no longer than a week to read. For those younge adults that did enjoy it I recomend FOREVER another teen classic. I really enjoyed this book but I would not exactly catagorize it as an adult novel.
Rating: Summary: I could not put it down. Review: The story of Caitlin and Vix was poignant and honest. The strong emotions of the book are emotions that anyone who has ever deeply loved a best friend has felt. The story, the emotions, and the characters are true to life and express thoughts and feelings that, however privately, belong to us all.
Rating: Summary: These characters are difficult to like! Review: I struggled with this book. I found most of the characters to be so shallow and selfish that I really didn't care if I finished the book or not.
Rating: Summary: An adult book?! Review: Judy Blume was the author who developed my love of reading. Where has she gone? When I heard she had written a novel for adults I ran out and bought it. What a dissapointment. This book is Deenie with sex and Are you there G-d It's Me Margaret with masturbation. Again, what a dissapointment
Rating: Summary: A realistic story of two girls' lives. Review: I loved this book!!! I never read except for required books, and I couldn't put this book down. I loved everything about it with the exception of the last part of the book. I felt as if the end of the plot was being crammed. Otherwise, I reccomend to all ages...esp. teenagers.
Rating: Summary: A great read! Review: Like many other readers, I found that I couldn't put this book down, and finished it in less than 24 hours. I loved the characters and couldn't wait to see what happened to them next. I think most everyone can relate to this kind of friendship. Overall, it's an easy, quick, entertaining read.
Rating: Summary: Reminisce back to the days of growing up! Review: Being a loyal Judy Blume reader, I was excited to hear about her new book. I read it in one sitting. The book was very lively...it is easy and fun reading. The ending could have been better, tho.
Rating: Summary: Incredibly moving book; great for a long weekend! Review: I remembered Judy Blume from reading as a kid and happenned across her book her on Amazon and decided to buy it. I am SO glad that i did buy it. This was one of the most moving books I've read in ages and got me right back to reading the way I used to!
