Review: Today I'll be brief. That book was really good.I definately enjoyed it. I always enjoy Ms. Rinaldi's books, this one no exception. What I notice about her books also is that she puts a twist of romance in it, but not alot as to make it really graphic.

Review: This is not only a great book about the Civil War. It also shows mant perspectives of a teenage girls life. I go along with all of the other reviws when I say that I could not put this book down. It was a wonderful mix between romance, and historical-fiction. After you read this book you will also want to read Rinaldi's other books, and find that they are very good too. This is definitly the best book I have ever read, personally. I strongly urge you to read it.

Review: If you like books about the Civil War this is the book for you. I found this book in my class library and didn't think it looked like a good book for me, but since I have read other books by Ann Rinaldi I decided to go ahead and read it. I was blown away by the book it was so good and it tuched the heart. I couldn't put it down and I was mad when I finished. The different perspectives of the Civil War made a great contribution to the book as well as the characters. If any one has ever seen "The Blue and the Grey" they might see some resemblance.

Review: This book was recommended to me by my teacher, and I've hardly been able to put it down to sleep and eat! It's crystal vividness perfectly portrays the emotional passage into womanhood of a beautiful southern belle during the American Civil War. I think that anyone who loves good literature should read this book. This book is not a superficial, chinsy romance novel for young adult women who don't want to read great literature. It really got me thinking aboout the real reasons behind war, and it also gives reality to how devastating the Civil War was, much more than can be learned from a history book. This compelling and beautifully written book definitely earns ***** from me!!!!!

Review: The Last Silk Dress is a very good book by Ann Rinaldi. I stayed up late one night to finish it. I couldn't put it down. This book showed how divided the North and the South were during the Civil War. It also showed how families were bitterly at war with each other at home and on the battle field. The book illustrated how many lives were ruined because of the conflict that turned into war. I recommend The Last Silk Dress to anyone who loves to read.

Review: I love to read books,ecspecially romance ones! Some are fake though, but this was so real. I had a request from one of my friends to read it, and at first I didn't think I liked it, but from the first chapter, I couldn't put it down! I said to my friend who read it and said to her friend, This is the best book you could ever read, now all of Kentucky will be reading it when I'm through! My hole block already is!

Review: I LOVE this book, a friend reccomended it to me last year and I have read it three or four times since! I absolutely love Historical Fiction by Ann Rinaldi, It's almost the only thing I read, I sing her praises. Not only do I reccomend you read this book but ALL others by Ann Rinaldi, I promise you, you will love them as much as I do or I'll bite my tounge. The end does sort of leave you hanging but none-the-less, it is a wonderful book of life During the Civil War era.
