Summary: Busy Alice
Review: This is about Alice busy with the school paper, helping in the school play that's coming up soon enough, working at the Melody Inn with her dad of course, hanging with her friends, and homework.
This is like the only book that I had read of the Alice Series so far. When I first read it, I liked it. Phyllis Reynolds Naylor is a great writer with these books. Because it explains about bullying at high school, embarrassing moments, trying to go through her relationship with Patrick, and the fact that most high school teenagers today can be VERY busy with homework and all.
Alice is all busy with things. Then she receives an intriguing letter from someone. It turns out to be a stuttering, shy, and a quiet boy from her Biology class.
Her friends are being resentful to her. Because they want her to hang with her and work at a jewelry place with them.
Alice's dad is engaged with her English 7th-grade teacher Miss Sylvia Summers still. And Lester is dating his college teacher. But it turns out that she has another boyfriend and was using him.
Oh, and Alice got her appendix out too. I would be scared if I had to get MINE out like Alice. And I will not tell you everything about what happened with Patrick...
So you'll find out for yourself. So this is a great book to read. If you're interested in teenage sort-of romance books.
Oh, and the guy that she meets as her secret admirer moves soon. Sorry if I had put too much things on this review. I just thought that you wanted to know. So this is a great book.

Summary: Simply Alice: Simply Wonderful
Review: When you read Simply Alice, it leaves your thinking and wanting to read another book from the Alice series. Alice is a 14 year old, almost 15 year old, freshman that is experiencing all the adventures of high school, friends, and family. Simply Alice was an absolutely wonderful book. I think this is a great book to read because just when you think its getting boring something comes up that amazes you. This is a book that you can really relate to and also not relate to. I can relate to her problems with her friends family and with school. Though most people probably won't go through some of the things Alice goes through. It's sometimes though hard to believe that Alice isn't real, the way the author expresses her emotions are so clear you would think that Alice wrote it herself. You can almost see every detail laid out before you because of how well she describes things.
There are some things about the book that I didn't especially like. I thought the book always had a lot going on in it. It never just focused on one thing; it focused on many things all at the same time. In a way, that's sometimes how real life is, too.
I really like watching Alice grow up and opened herself to new things. This was a wonderful book with a great plot, and I am excited to read many more of these books!
