Summary: A fanstastic love story
Review: I thought the book was more then great. The second Jarrod walks into the classroom Kate knows there's something different about him. On the first day they have a chance to talk and he ends up thinking she's crazy. But that dosent last long. Jarrod begins to fit into the in-crowd while Kate only has one friend,but they end up sharing an amazing adventure as they travel to midevil time to undue a curse. This changes both of there lives for the best.

Summary: A must for Time Travel lovers
Review: as the new boy walks in she senses something...Wierd about him and she can't stop staring. She soon reliazes he is what she is. A witch. The new boy's family is cursed and a horrible curse at that. When the new boy's brother almost dies they have to go backk in time to change the curse and stop it. Kate's grandmother sends them back in time to when the curse orignated. Jarrod dosen;t want ot belive in magic but as soon as they get backk in time he is starting to belive. When kate gets kiddnapped by the villan who is making the curse jarrod has to belive and train his ausome magic powers to fight the villan. Marianne Curley (the author) Tells the story from jarrod's and kate's point of view really realisticly. I highly reccomend this book and give it 5 stars

Summary: Sorcery at it's best!
Review: This book is no beach read. It plunges you head first into the action. Going back in time to break a curse. Full of magic and sorcery. If you are looking for a book that will keep you on the edge of your seat and you actually have to think about this is the book for you! I loved this book, and I hope that whoever reads it as well loves it too. This is a good teen book and if you are into the magic thing but you still want to have a little bit of romance too, this is and outstanding book for that.

Review: I thought the book was really great. I loved how everything fit in together. It keeps you guessing so much that you can't put the book down!I love how Jarrod and Kate have an attraction between each other.I have to say this is my all time favorite book!

Review: This book was really good. It kinda had a slow beginning, but when it started to pick up, I couldnt put it down. Some parts were better than others, but I liked it anyway. What I really liked about it was that it wasnt your typical teen book. This book is definatly a must read.

Summary: What is it about Australia and witches?
Review: I don't usually go for books written in the first person. In fact I really dislike them. But it's a measure of just how good 'Old Magic' was when not only did I love it, but I'm rooting for a sequel. I loved the main characters to death! Kate knew who she was and didn't apologize for it. Jarrod tried to make himself fit in, but circumstances sent him on a different, and far more interesting path, learning some inportant things about himself along the way. The descriptions of places(Ashpeak Mountain, the Crystal Forest and Medieval England), people (LOVED Jarrod's eyes!), and especially the magic were very visual, a major plus. The storm in the classroom scene impressed me to no end and really jump-started the book. I highly recommend this book, and if you enjoy this, then also check out Margaret Mahy's 'The Changeover'.

Review: This book is great!! I loved it. For a first novel I think it is excellent. It takes place in Australia and then it goes to 13th century Britan. I think it gives us a break from our world and lets us travel to a world of possibilities.

Review: Well if you don't mind a long book you'll defenitely
be interested in Old Magic. Its a interesting and
intruiging story about witchs and current day magic
in Australia. Theres Kate and Jarrod who have to
overcome a curse centuries old before they can finally
be together. But to overcome a curse of old magic you
have to go back to old times. So if you like the
unbelivable and unconceivable you'll like this book!

Review: I believe this book is amazing, if you want a good book to read, and fall in love with, than I recomend Old Magic. As you read this book you can quickly imagine in your head what is happening.As if you are watching a movie. The chemistry that the two charachters, Kate and Jarrod have you can totally feel. You can relate in a way as to what they feel about life, and about highschool. If you are really feeling down, or just feel like reading I so recomend this book, you will spend the whole day reading it non-stop untill you finish. So get this book!!!!
