Summary: The Strange Power!
Review: Kaitlyn Fairchild is a psychic. She sees things before they happen by drawing things. The problem is that her drawings never make sense until the actual event happens. But one day Kait is called out of class and she meets Lydia. Lydia tells her about the Zeetes Institute. A place in California where she can learn to control her psychic abilities. When she arrives she meets the other students: Rob, Gabriel, Anna, and Luis. Soon though they all begin to realize that something isn't quite right and that Mr. Zeetes may have more sinister intentions. Another interesting thing going on is that Gabriel psychiclly linked all of them and now he can't unlink them. So now they can read each other's thoughts.

This is an EXCELLENT trilogy. My god I love Gabriel. Geez he sounds sooo FINE!

Summary: A great book that starts off a wonderful trilogy!!
Review: Kaitlyn is asked to go to an institute that studies pyshic powers. At the Zetes Institute she meets Lewis, Anna, Rob, and Gabriel. She falls at once for Rob. And Gabriel falls for Kait. Kait and Gabriel know when they first meet Mr. Zetes that theres something wierd about him, something he isnt telling them. Will Rob realize that Kaitlyn is a girl, and fall for her? What is it that Mr. Zetes is hiding from them? And why did someone at the institute suddenly go into a comma because she supposedly forgot to take her medication that her family didnt know she had?

This is a great book that starts the Dark Visions trilogy to a great start. I LOVE all of the books that I have read by L. J. Smith.

Summary: Re: Re: Blah
Review: Of course I'll admit Gabriel is sexy! Owww, is he ever. And I liked the fact this is the first L.J. book where the so-called "bad" guy won. I hate how she always writes these totally blah "good" boys, and these sorchingly sexy "bad" boys, and the girl *always* goes for the good boy. Of course, winning Kaitlyn meant that Gabriel had to be "redeemed," by making amends with Rob, curing his vampirism, and generally turning into Mr. Wuss, but this is what happens to a lot of really great bad guys in books (I think the author does it to assauge her guilt over writing such a brilliant, popular character with so many perceived personality flaws - Anne Rice even did this to Lestat - though the fact that the majority of the fans absolutely loathed the book she did it in [Memnoch the Devil] should maybe give authors a message that we *like* naughty bad boys. ;). This is also the first one, I think, that has a hint of real sexuality in it - instead of writing scenes where the heroine practically has an orgasm from being kissed (*regular* kisses too, no tongue or anything), she wrote hot "energy-drinking" scenes and had Kaitlyn suggest that she "take off her shirt" to get Rob's attention. It would appear that L. J.'s characters are finally maturing, and I really like that. But the plot is still a little too goofy, and the characters still a little too shallow for my liking. Sorry. -Twilight

Summary: A good series that kept me enthralled
Review: These books all are really great. It's a good series with lots of action and, of course, romance. My only question is, if she's supposed to never cry, how come she does it so much? Besides that, I enjoyed this book that has good characters and a good plot. It's supposed to be a fun series, so just go with the flow. ~Sunn

Summary: Who couldn't Love Rob?????
Review: This book was great. I'm sure most of you out there reading this have already read the book and know that it's great, but I need to say it anyway. I think this was my favorite of the trilogy. Some of you out there seem to think Rob was a boring cahracter. I thought he was awesome. Of coure, GAbriel is wonderful, intriging character, but without Rob this story would be nothing. Evryonee out there wants a "dangerous" man, but in real life of coures dangerous men are NOT good.I guess i'm being a hipocrite.i love this plot lines as much as the rest of you.I love books but none have captivated me in quite the way this one did. I think I'm going to go read it again...oh if you haven't read the NIgh t world yet, read em'.

Summary: It was OK.......
Review: This books was OK, well, if you were into psychic stuff, or if you liked Lois Duncan books. Its the first book inthis series. Its about 5 teenagers who or psychics (if you already didnt figure that out) that are sent to live in Cali to be part of (I guess you can say) psychic study. But weird things start to happen, and they realize that they might be in danger, so they try to protect themselves from the people at the instutue.

This book wasnt one of the best L J Smith books that I've read. It really didnt start to get instrusting until the last few chapters. It is a very easy read. Hopefully the other books are better as the series goes on.

Summary: Smith's best trillogy
Review: This has got to be L J Smith's best trillogy ever. And thatwas a hard decision to come by. I love how she describes how the characters are feeling and you don't know what is going to happen next. This is a great book and I definaltly recommend it and the other two Dark Visions books. You won't regret it.

Summary: I've read this book five times!
Review: This is a great book. Along with the Secret Circle Trilogy it's my favorite by her. The Dark Visions trilogy is wonderul. I love the characters. They stick with you, especially Gabriel. He's a wonderfully well developed character. It's strange because he's not the main character but somehow you walk away with more of an understanding of him than you do any of the other characters. It's amazing! Not that the other characters aren't good. Kait is very interesting and I just love Lewis. Anna was cool. Even Rob was nice although he's the one character I think could have stood to be developed a little more. Not that you would notice if it weren't in such contrast with Gabriels character. Hey, I'd buy the book just for the timeless sarcastic remarks made.
