Rating: Summary: Great! Review: An excellent series
Rating: Summary: ANother wonder for my collection Review: Being that I have recently become one of L.J Smiths fans. I have found it VERY difficult to get her books. But this one I was lucky enough to reach before the "Out of print" label reached it first. At first I was skeptical because of the cover and everything. You really have to be an anti "judge a book by the cover" reader, to get this book. Which also goes for the Secret circle..... Anywhoo This book was really captivating...A group of five special psycic teens from all over the U.S are bribed (to put it mildly) into going to a home in California. Where they could start a new life and get PAID for it! All needed of them were to do some harmless tesing on their psycic powers on a regular basis(or so they thought). Soon Kaitlyn is sent clues that Mr.Zetes is up to no-good with his researching, she starts getting suspicious. And it doesnt help that the messenger is put into a mysterious coma soon after. It was THEN that she decided to find out about Mr.Zetes and what he really wants from them. She and the others decide to search for the truth and they find a secret...(nope cant tell you that)well files that...(Nope cant tell you that either)Sorry. Well what I CAN tell, is that on their mission for the truth Gabriel makes a mistake and links them all into a stable psycic link. Which makes them read into each other's thoughts. They keep their secrets from Mr.Zetes scared of what he might do if he found out what they "knew". But then Kaitlyn and Gabe are caught into a bad situation, they are trapped with Mr.Zetes with no power to hold against him....LISTEN Im not much of a storyteller so do yourself a favor and get the book! Its much better when you read it. Youll be suprised with what happens and be happy that you got it! As a matter of fact get the whole trilogy!
Rating: Summary: Blah Review: Bo-ring. Kait is a typical L. J. Smith heroine, in the sense that, when offered somethingamazing, beyond her wildest dreams (in this case, a year at a Californian psychic institute and an obscene amount of cash) shetimidly refuses, supposedly only thinking about the welfare of others ("but what about my dad?"). Oh come ON. It's a clear excuse to avoid making any decisions for herself or taking risks. Fortunately, in this book she eventually bites and goes off merrily to California, where she of course meets two gorgeous guys (one "good," one "evil" - *another* trusty L. J. Smith cliche put to work) and discovers something fishy's going on, but of course only after using her *amazing* psychic powers. Nevermind the ridiculously obvious clues thrown at her throughout the book...I shudder to think of what life must be like for one so naive. So she *finally* answers the clue phone (of course, *she's* the one who figures it out - supporting characters are as dumb as manure in a lot of L. J.'s books, unfortunately), and the psykids try to split, only to be attacked by the bad guys. Gabriel (aforementioned evil-but-cute boytoy) gets zapped with the Dark Crystal, becoming a psychic vampire, thus insuring gratuitous sexual tension a-plenty in the later books, where Kaitlyn selflessly offers herself to him. The book finally ends with the kiddies running away, and Kait having a nice little heartwarming moment with Rob (the good-and-cute boytoy). Aww. Next. -Twilight
Rating: Summary: Okay okay, Gabre is sexy Review: but come ON stop picking on Rob! He vvas only being the nice guy of the story, every story has got to have at least one.
Rating: Summary: If you loved "The Secret Circle" you'll love "Dark Visions"! Review: Hello all you L.J. Smith fans! If you read the "Secret Circle" Trilogy you'll love the "Dark Visions" trilogy even better! The story focuses on Kait, a young girl who feels different than everyone else but wants desperately to fit in. She gets a chance to go to a school for "gifted" children and meets up with Rob, Gabriel, Anna and Lewis. Together they form a tight bond and Kait is caught between good guy Rob and bad boy Gabriel. I love how Kait is torn between the two...I felt like I was her, trapped with a cursed gift, and a choice to make over "good and evil", "light and dark" - I read all three books one after the other and I wasn't dissappointed one bit. Everthing you could imagine is here: love, intrigue, danger, magic, vampires, and mystery. Don't miss out on a better than great story!
Rating: Summary: I love the ideas and charactors in this book! Review: I absolutely love the way that L.J Smith wrote this book. There are so many juicy details. I like reading about psychic powers and this really hit the spot! The main charactors get you really into the book and make you want to read more. The book is about a young girl who has been basically been set aside as an outcast in her school socioty, She longs for friends, although she is too proud to admit it. She has the power to see the futer in an odd way:she draws pictures of the event that is about to happen. She gets taken to an institute that will help her strengthen her powers, and there, she meets other people who also have psychic powers. She will end up falling in love and the rest is up to you to fiond out. I love how many great emotions this book brings up. The ending will make you feel emotions you didnt know that you had! I highly reccomend reading this book!
Rating: Summary: fantastic Review: i absolutely love this book. it soooooooo has to be one of the best of l.j. smith's. rob and gabriel sound so gorg. i cant wait to read the next one . if u have read any of l.j. smiths books than read this one amd even if u havent still read it its great!!!!!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: a great book! Review: I absolutely loved this book. I was so into it that I read it in four hours! Gabriel is definitely the most intriguing character and the one with the most potential. If Kait has any sense in her psychic head she will dump the boring, personality-lacking, perfect bozo Rob, and get with the flawed, but extremely interesting Gabriel. I can't wait to read the next two books in this series!
Rating: Summary: WOW!!!!!!!!!! Review: I got this book a while ago, with all three books in one, when I went off to camp. I Just wanted something big that would take me a while to read. I didn't realise I would find one of my favorite books of all time! I've read it and re-read it so many times, the cover's fallen off!!! I immediatly went out and borrowed all of her books from the library! Now, what's driving me insane is I can't find a copy of her Night World 'The Chosen' ANYWHERE! ARRRRRRRRRRRRRGH!
Rating: Summary: well, if you like psychic stuff... Review: I guess this was a good book. It sort of reminded me of Lois Duncan's The Third Eye and maybe this one was based off it. Who knows? Well, I would if I were psychic like the people in this book... Anywho, this book starts a trilogy that is your basic teens get sucked into a situation seemingly above their heads until they grow and rise to it and blah blah blah... BUT there is no denying that it's extremely easy to read, not at all boring, and that the characters are cool. Sure you have the bad boy turned good by good girl cliche but here it's pulled together with as little cheese-iness as possible ^_^ All in all it's worth a read. This is a pretty good start to a pretty good trilogy
