Summary: Alice in Rapture, sort of,not a good boook
Review: I sort of liked this book, but it talked a lot about kissing and Patrick. It didn't have a good plot for a story. The only part it talked about anything else was when Pamela, Elizabeth, and her dad went to the beach. I do not recomend this book unless you like kissing and Patrick.

Summary: "An exciting book dealing with 3 girls and their boyfriends"
Review: It is a must for three girls to have a boyfriend when they enter the seventh grade. In this story, the three girls are best friends. One event in the story happens like this. Alice, the main character, invites her two friends to go with her to the beach with her dad. Alice's brother will be arriving later. Well, Alice hasn't had a new swimsuit, so her dad buys her a bikini. One of Alice's friends gets all the attention from the other boys, and she has a boyfriend!!! When Alice's brother arrives on Saturday, he says he has a surprise for Alice. Guess who it is?

The best part of the book are the personalities of the characters, especially Alice. I recommend this book to girls age 11-14.

Summary: My favorite "Alice"
Review: It's one of the early Alice works (actually the second), but it's my favorite. Phyllis Naylor catches all the joys and pitfalls of being twelve and in the middle of a romance she doesn't know how to go farther with. Alice puzzles over such things as what to talk about when you're on the phone with a boy, whether you should kiss outside on the porch or not at all, and whether or not you should get your boyfriend a birthday present that you think he would enjoy: who knows if he has that record or book anyway?

I'm only thirteen - a year older than Alice in this novel - but I found through its frank discussions it answers a lot of the questions I had. It's an Alice book not to go unnoticed. That's for sure.

Summary: You just MUST have a boyfriend when you enter Junior High!
Review: Or do you? Although all the girls seem to get a boyfriend, in the end, they all lose their boyfriends. One by one, first Elizabeth, then Pamela, and of course Alice. Alice gave up Patrick, partly because of her friends but also because of how much she worried about herself. It makes no sense on how much you have to think about yourself because of other person. Even though it was heartbreaking, it's amazing how Alice and Patrick are still friends.

Summary: Alice's Life
Review: Poor Alice. When she was little her mom died. And when you're going into 7th grade that's when you need a mom most. So between frequent calls with her aunt Sally and her brother Lester's girlfriend, she relizes now for the first time in life her life things almost never go you're way.

I'd say although i've only read 3 other of Mr.Naylor's books this is by far one of the most funniest books i've read. The one book I dread reading is "Alice Alone". I"ve read that Patrik dumps Alice for another girl he longs to be with. Alice is heartbroken and can only rely on her 2 best friends Elizabeth and Pamela to be there 4 her.

Summary: A really fun Alice book!
Review: The book is everything I would look for in reading material: funny yet serious at times, some sensitive parts, enjoyable all in all. I liked this book so much that I read it twice---and I almost never read my books more than once! It's really good and all Alice fans should read it. This is also a great book for readers who have not yet met Alice.

Summary: ALICE IS THE BEST!
Review: This book is great for 11 or 12 years that are going from 5th grade to junior high! Or 6th graders going into junior high, in some cases! It's humorous, stylish, and fun! It tells a little about junior high life, and gets you a bit ready! It's the best!

Summary: fun to read
Review: This book isn't a literary masterpiece or anything but it's really good and a lot of fun to read. Although it isn't my favorite Alice book I have still already read it 3 times anyway. In this addition to the Alice series Alice is going through the summer before seventh grade. There are the mortifying scenes that Alice just can't seem to avoid---like when her friends' boyfriends made fun of Pamela's bra and caused some strain on their relationships. Elizabeth goes through heartbreak from her first boyfriend, Tom Perona, and Pamela gets the embarrassment of her life when her bikini top falls off while at the beach. Alice decides to make a difficult decision in the end about her boyfriend Patrick, but knows it's for the best. It was very clear in this book how much Alice yearned for a mother, but I was kind of surprised how very unknowledgeable she was about things like guys and her body.
