Rating: Summary: not my favorite Review: A Whisper and A Wish is not my favorite book in the Christy Miller series. Christy and her family move to California, and Christy finds out that they won't be moving to Newport Beach but Escondido, where Christy knows no one. When her family does move, she's even more disappointed by their Victorian house, which needs work and of which Christy does not have a room as big as her old one. Surprises do await Christy, however, as the hottest guy in her new school likes her and she finds herself accepted with the popular crowd. But the popular crowd comes with consequences, and Christy learns a lesson in responsibility. I do still recommend this book, as without it the rest of the series makes very little sense. I do give the author 3 stars for this book based on the fact that much of it is based on reality--I was in Christy's shoes when I was in high school.

Rating: Summary: Change of hearts Review: Christy Miller's whole series is very spiritually upliftin. I have read every single book even the college years. I love reading as her relationship with Todd and with God grows and blossoms. It makes me sad that there are no more books in this series yet. I am hoping there will be more. I will write to the authour every day until there are because I feel the book helps me grow in my faith and I am still growing. Please read these books then write to the authour to encourage her to write more for this series. I know i should read the other series she writes but the only one i have is the sieraa Jensen one. This is because she writes so well it's hard to move on. Written from the words of a "peculiar treasure".

Rating: Summary: This was a very realistic book. Review: It was amazing when Christy found out that she was moving
to California.
Rating: Summary: Mediocre fun.... Review: It's basically one of those cheesy novels that many young girls nearing their teens read. Of course, these less-than-masterpiece books are always fun to read, as well. The characters have the looks, friends, family, and lovelife as that of a perfect world, but you can definitely get caught up in such a tale. This story takes you into the life of "tall, slim" Christy Miller as she tries to adjust to a move from Wisconsin to sunny California. At the same time, she is also adjusting to her new found Christianity and trying to make the right choices. She makes new friends who are popular, yet loyal at the same time. It seems to be smooth sailing into she has to come to grips about some of the problems that are making one of her new friends act strange and dishonest, while still feeling vulnerable about accepting Him into all areas of her life. From an old friend who won't return her letters to a bad run in with the police, Christy Miller has a lot on her plate. This is no real world, though. She has an aunt and uncle who will max out their credit cards to buy Christy and her friends expensive outfits and parents who are understanding of everything! A good read if there's nothing else, but not much for brain food...
Rating: Summary: Whisper and a Wish! Review: My friend and I have read all the Christy books and we are addicted. A Whisper and a Wish was a great book, although not our favorite. If you've only read up to this book, and your not hooked....just wait! As you read more of the books, you will fall in love with the characters...becasue they just keep getting better as the books go on.
