Rating: Summary: A Great Thrilling Novel Review: The Other Side of Dark by Joan Lowry Nixon is a suspense-thriller that keeps you flipping pages. It is about a girl who woke up from a coma and realized that she had been asleep for four years. When the girl, Stacy, wakes up, she becomes reacquainted with her dad and friends. She wants to remember who shot her in the hip and put her into a coma and who shot and killed her mother. However, she can't remember the face of the man she saw that night. Then she meets an old friend and they go to a party. She sees a gun in the car of one of the guys she meets there. She puts together some clues and realizes who the person is. She then remembers that he has been around for a long time and realizes that it was he that killed her mom. The story goes from there and really takes off. I think that it is a good story by a person who really knows about teenage life. It will have you reading all night--but don't take my word for it; read it yourself! ~reader

Rating: Summary: 4 stars in the dark Review: Imagine what it would be like to fall into a coma when you're thirteen and wake up when you're seventeen to realize that you're the only one who can get vengeance on your beloved mother's murderer. And then there's also having to get used to a new body and all the major changes that can happen in four years. I was really into it up until the killer was revealed. It was still good after that, but what I thought would happen didn't. In my opinion, the ending could have been a little better, but other than that, I thought it was a really great book. I recommend this book to anyone who likes mystery, suspense, and romance.
Rating: Summary: Page-Turner! Review: This book is a mystery, and it is great for middle school students and young adults. It involves a teenager as a main character who awakes from a coma after four years. She finds herself in a body she doesn't recognize and realizes socially and mentally she is four years behind. While she is trying to catch up on the last four years, she begins remembering bits and pieces about the day she was injured. She becomes engulfed in trying to solve her mother's murder. As she continues to remember events, it will eventually lead to identifying the murderer and places her in great danger. This is the book that hooked me on reading Nixon's mysteries.
Rating: Summary: The book I never put down! Review: I have read this book 3 times, and I am going to read it many more. If you are a lover of great mystery and suspense, this book is for you!

Rating: Summary: Hard to find, GREAT to read! Review: Even though this is book is hard to find, I enjoyed reading it. Waking up from a coma to not knew who shot her and her mother, Stacy tries hard to see the face of her shooter. The suspense will keep you reading this book until the very end, to find out who the person was. Was it her best friend, her sister, maybe her new boyfriend? This book keeps you guessing the whole way though, and the end is a surprise!
