Stacy wakes up in a hospital bed, to discover her worst nightmare! She had been in a coma for four years! While she has been in a deep sleep, the world has gone on with out her-leaving her behind. Stacy's family reveals the real reason why she was put in her unfortunate state. She was shot, and her mother was murdered. Stacy was the only eyewitness. The only thing that is holding her back from putting the man, who has changed her life forever in jail, is her memory. She sees only his eyes; her memory will not reveal his whole face. As she enquirers many suspicious people and problems, her determination will keep her alive. Stacy will not rest until her mothers murder is put in jail. I could not put this book down! If you like scary, suspenseful books then I highly recommend this book!I really enjoyed all of the characters in this book. They were all very believable. Stacy was very realistic, the way she acted when she faced problems. Like when she first woke up from the coma, I could understand the way she felt. I could relate to some of her problems. All of the characters made me feel like I was included in the book. I heard all of their thoughts in great detail and knew the decisions that they would eventually make. I have always been interested in scary, thrilling books and this book defiantly covered my preferences. Sometimes I would stay up late because whenever I would try to put the book down another frightening problem would occur. So I just had to keep on reading. One time, I was going to stop reading and Stacy got a suspicious phone call. After that I had to read another thirty minutes. I thought the book was a good length. When the ending came I have to admit I was hoping for a little more. I felt so included in the characters life's I wanted to find out their futures. But I thought that the minimum was covered. I thought this book defiantly deserved 5 stars.

Review: Stacy suddenly wakes up after being in a coma for four years and finds out she is the only witness to her mothers murder and the killer has never been caught. Now she has to get used to being older and watch out for the killer who might return. The book was well written and kept you guessing what was goin to happen next.

Review: This is the first of her books that I read, and now she's my favorite author. It' extremel suspenseful, but aimed more towards teens.

Summary: Great, edge of your seat mystery
Review: My opinion it was the type of book where you, the reader, could put yourself in the main character's shoes and go through the same realistic adventures, feelings and emotions she was. This book was a good mystery. It had me going back and forth through out the book, to try to figure out the killer. This book had a suprise ending, that was a shock. An ending I never would have suspected. This is a good book also because it makes the reader in my opinion, become a detective themselves. Also if you can figure out the ending before you read it, your lucky because it is totally unexpected.

Review: Joan Lowery Nixon, has written some really great books, but this is by far the best one I have ever read. And I would go so far as to say that it is the best book I have ever read by anyone.
I have 2 copies of this book, just incase anything happens to one of the copies I have a spare.
This book really should be made into a movie, I think it could be a box office hit, making plenty of money.
I hope everyone enjoys reading this book as much as I have done and still am. Buy it, it's well worth your money.

Summary: The other side of dark
Review: I have read many joan lowery Nixon books and all of them are just wonderful, but i have to say that this book has to be the greastest. Nixon shows so much emotion and it is truly amazing how real it feels. I as a very popular person in school i understand how you might feel embarresed to be a big book lover and you don't want your friends to know what kinds of things you read but this is really the coolest book and is really popular. many of the girls i hang out with said they have read it and felt the same way as me.

Review: This, without a doubt, has been THE best book Joan Lowery Nixon has ever written. No wonder it won so many awards! Stacey has been in a coma for four years, and wakes up at the age of 17. She has a new body that she isn't comfortable with, and doesn't know what the heck is going on. She then finds out that a guy shot her, thus causing her coma. But the same man shot her mother, killing her. She will not stop until she finds out who killed her mother, and with some help, starts solving the mystery of her mother's death.

Review: The Other Side of Dark was one of the first Joan Lowery Nixon books I ever read and now I own 4 of them. It's a great book, and is never slow. From the first page, you are hooked and won't be able to put the book down. There's two different plots, in a way-Stacey adjusting to being 17 instead of 13, and Stacey trying to remember and solve her mother's murder. While reading the book, you become so close to Stacey, you begin to think like her. Stacey is an easy character to understand and you sympathize with her as she remembers more bits and pieces of her mother's murder. She is simple and likeable. As a result, you end up loving this book. Your friends will love it, too, like mine did, so I guarantee that you read it!

Review: This book blew me off my feet I loved it. I really enjoyed the detail and how the whole story comes together. I also really liked the characters and the settting of the story. I think Joan Lowery Nixon is a wonderful author and I will continue to read her wonderful books !

Review: Stacy wakes up in hospital to find that she has been shot and been in a coma for 4 years...she also finds that her mother- the one person she needs most has been shot and killed by the same person who shot her. will she find the killer before he finds her...? read it and find out, it will keep you flipping pages to find out what happened, I am only 12 and I read it in 2 days, in and around school. read it.
