Summary: My favorite Rinaldi book!
Review: Ann Rinaldi is one of my favorite authors, and it shows through this book! I'm a big fan of the Revolutionary War- and Rinaldi portrays it perfectly. Jemima Emerson is wedged between two brothers, with a caring mother, a stern father, and a Loyalist tutor, John Reid. Jem has a flavored personality- she's spunky, wilful, yet knowegable! The Brits and the Hessians come to her town....she discovers a family secret....she falls in love w/ the person you least expect... Ann Rinaldi did a fabulous job on this book. It tell about the REvlolutionary War, yet it doesn't emphasise on all the blood and gore. The signature romance story is wonderful, and I'd recommend this book to anyone!

Summary: One of my favorite books
Review: "Time Enough for Drums" is one of my favorite books ( second to 'The Scarlet Pimpernel')I am a MAJOR fan of Ann Rinaldi, and this is one of her best books. Anyone who likes adventure, romance, history, and spies, will LOVE this book. I've reread this book over and over again. The charactors are: Fiery Jem, who is a full-blooded patriot. Her tutor John Reid is the man who has her freedom on a tight-leash...and capture's her heart. Jem despises John Reid until she discovers a secret that will changer her whole opinion of him. Taking place during the Revelutionary War, this book will draw you into their world and have you wanting to read more of Ann's books. Enjoy!

Summary: The best book ever!
Review: I'm one of Ann Rinaldi's biggest fans, and this is probably her best book. I've read it at least 10 times, I absolutely love it. Not only does it tell the story of a young girl growing up, Rinaldi also weaves in the background of the Revolutionary War and romance into it. Ann Rinaldi has a way of writing that grips you and makes you not want to put down the book until you finish, I know I never can. Anyone who is a fan of historical fiction, romance, or just a well-written book, should definately read Time Enough for Drums!

Summary: One of the Best Romance Books
Review: Ok, so, this is one of my all-time favorite books! I am a total romance freak. If a book doesn't have it then I usually don't like it. I mean, it has to be VERY VERY good for me to like it if it doesn't have romance. I think that this book told a WONDERFUL romance story but I think that it still would have been good without it (I probably wouldn't have liked it as much but it still would have been good). Ann Rinaldi does a very good job tying in the Revolutionary War with the romantic parts of the book. I just have to say, I LOVED this book for all it's components and it is by far the best Rinaldi book I've read.

Review: Thsi story is about a bratty girl who hates her tutor because he is a Tory and she is a patriot. When she learns his secret, her feelings for him take an 180 degree turn. She grows up. If you like adventure, love and secrecy then this is the book for you!

Summary: A wonderful book
Review: I enjoyed this book tremendously. I've been reading Ann rinaldis books for about two or three years and this was one of my favorites. The plot ran smoothly and was rwell carried out and you loved the main characters. I reccommend this book for anyone who love a good story that you can perfectly picture in your imagination.

Summary: This book was AWESOME!
Review: I've read this book four times and it's just as good as ever. I have read it twice within two days. I wish it had a sequel. It's defenatly one of Ridaldi's best. The characters and plot are well developed and it's very true to history. Ridaldi really knows how to make you feel like you're there and that you know the characters. A must read.

Summary: A touch of Magic to last for Generations
Review: I have read countless books by Ann Rinaldi, everything every local library and book store has to offer, and for some reason that I don't understand, this book stuck out the most, it was different than her others, in a way I can't really place. Her tutor for instance John Reid, had a completely different personality than any of her heroine's other beau's, his unique, strong, and wise character really drew me into the book. Jem was really different than Ms. Rinali's other characters, she was not so confused and tangled up by the war, she knew exactly what she was about from the beginning to the end, and I found that was a good quality for this character to have. I think Ms. Rinaldi added a touch of magic as she wrote this book, it is amazing beyond words, and I know it is one of her novels that I will read many times over the years, cherish and pass onto my own children, in this book she has created a classic that will last centuries, if we are lucky.

Review: This book is now one of my favorites! Whether you like history or not, this book is great. Ann Rinaldi captured history while weaving in romance. I really related to this book, and I fell in love with this book the first time I read it. I felt like I was Jem. I wish I could get Ann Rinaldi to sign my copy of Time Enough For Drums, but I don't have her address. I plan on rereading this book very soon!

Summary: Everyone should read it!
Review: This book was the gateway to the other Ann Rinaldi books. Not only was this book dealt on the American Revoloution it also is very heartwarming and it makes you want to read it over, and over again because everytime I have read it, I am always left with a smile on my face. This book is one of Ann Rinaldi's Best and it should be read. Jem is one of those characters that people can relate to, she was always headstrong and willing to do anything if it was of her own will. The Romance is this book was also a very good thing because Ann Rinaldi did not leave me sad about the ending like in her other books that I have read, and it made you feel like YOU were Jem. So basically I have to say that this book should be read even if you have never read her work before. You will fall in love with this book!
