Review: Every time I read one of Ann Rinaldi's books I like it more than the last one I read. It was definetly true with this book. All the characters are life-like and seem so real. This book had the perfect blend of history, adventure, romance, and realisticness. It made me much more interested in American history which I usually think is boring. People that have a hard time getting through American history should read this book. I think it will enlighten them. I would recommend this book, and author, to anybody.

Review: I read this book 4 times!!!!! The first time, I was soooo sorry that it was over! It had the best plot, and was an historical fiction MASTERPIECE. I loved it!!!!!!!! EVERYONE MUST READ THIS BOOK!!!!!! The characters were exceptional. _I_ wanted to marry John Reid after I read it! History is NOT BORING in this book! (Although American History isnt boring anywhere!!) I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE this book.
