Rating: Summary: A Great Start To A Great Series! Review: In "Can't Stay Away", the first in a series about the twins being seniors, Jessica's sure she's going to have an awesome year when she meets Will, a hot guy she likes. After they make out and go on a date or two, Jessica finds out that Will has another girlfriend, Melissa. Melissa gets [mad]at Jessica and Will feels bad but does nothing to help Jess.Elizabeth, on the other hand, has some boy problems of her own. She's in love with a guy named Conner, but he apparently hates her. After she leaves Lila's house to move in with her friend Megan, Liz realizes that Conner is Megan's step-brother. She's living in the same house with the guy she likes!
Rating: Summary: A Great Book Review: If you're looking for a great book, this is IT. This book had me so engrossed I simply could not stop reading it! It's way different and, in my opinion, much better than SVH because the plots are more exciting and interesting and the book has a lot more going on. There's like, five different storylines all going on but in a way they're all connected. The story is great, but the other thing that's cool is you get lists, homework assignments, personal messages, etc. that all the characters write in between the chapters and at the beginning and the end. This had me hooked straight from beginning to end, and after I read it I could not WAIT to get the next one. The books actually get better as the series go on. This is a great book and the rest are really good too. If you're thinking about reading this series, I definitely recommed it. I absolutely love them. I swear, once you get it you won't be able to put it down! So I most certainly suggest you go find yourself a copy right now. C ya!
Rating: Summary: Ms. Pascal updates Sweet Valley for Millennium Review: When I first heard that Sweet Valley was going to get a real face lift, I was worried at first. But now that I've read this book I'm really glad she did! Now I admit that I miss the old characters such as Winston, Enid, and even Todd. But the new characters fill the voids up. The main reason I like this series is because it identifies with real teens of today and brings up issues that real teens face today. It's hard to find a series like this and I hope you will enjoy it for it's quality.
Rating: Summary: Great Start Review: Well, this book was a way good one. I already love Melissa and Will, they add spice to the series. I hope they add more and more cool characters aside fromt eh whole SVH crew. Even though the whole book series is based upon thw Wakefield twins, they should start drifting off from them. Why cant it all be about Will and Melissa, that would be cool.
Rating: Summary: Kept me interested but. . . Review: Okay, you know what. . .I really don't know what to say. I picked this up because I wanted to see an author's take of teenage life. I'd read a few of the SVH books and even though this one had an interesting structure and interesting characters. . .can't Pascal come up with anything else but Liz loves this guy and Liz loves that guy? I mean, come on! She's supposed to be the good twin, but in every book it's Jessica that's getting blown off and Elizabeth that's smooching everyone. This may sound a little harsh, but I really don't think that this is her best book. And how on earth will these people get into college if they're always going to the riot and games and having fun all night? Perhaps its just me, but high school, even if you're a senior, has its work. If you want a fluff book, pick this up, but if you want something with substance, I'd reccommend something by Tamora or Meredith Pierce, or even by Willa Cather if you really want a well-written read that's more challenging.
Rating: Summary: So great! Review: I love all the Sweet Valley books, and this one was definetly one of the best. If you're a Sweet Valley fan, and enjoy escapist liturature with plots that are unrealistic, this book is for you! Although i *am* wondering--in the first Sweet Valley University book, it says that Liz & Todd dated all through junior AND senior year...whatever. Plus, in another SVU, Olivia apparently came back to life! Uh, random! But nevertheless, this a fantastic book and I can't wait to read the rest of this great new series!
Rating: Summary: The Begining Review: I think this auther wrote the first book well,it is thebegining of a new life for the twins. She explained well, almostleaving you hang, as if you need the next book,it is like an addiction. It all stated with nthe earthquake, new homes. new friends, and new romances. As the girls have grown older they learn more,Jess kinda know understands that she is not always the best, and Liz is more relaxed. i liked this book becaus eof all the changes.
Rating: Summary: A good beginning. Review: I like this series a whole lot better than Sweet Valley High. Sweet Valley High was so unrealistic. Senior Year is great because it's more real. Sure some characters are dropped and new ones are added, but SVH did that all the time. They would focus on the twins for seventeen books and then decide to have a plot involving someone else. If you liked SVH, you will love Senior Year.
Rating: Summary: A good set up Review: Although I do agree with that it is a very good book, its a set up. This book could definitly not survive on its own. It does not have enough plot. But it does have a relly good build up sequence.
Rating: Summary: NOT the best in the series. Review: I know this is not much of an excuse because i've herd it before, but, ok, the reason i only gave it 4 stars was becaues even thogh I really loved the book, it was NOT the best in the series. To get my friend intrested in it I had her start reading #2 from the very begginig. Of corse of you can stand to sit through it, it would be much better.
