Summary: One of the best but saddest books I have ever read!
Review: This book was so great I could hardly put it down. I have read a lot of books especially by Lurlene but this one stands out in my mind the most. I loved this book and hated that it had to end. If you are going to buy a book this one is definitly worth buying.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Great book, depressing ending.
Review: This has to be one of the best books I have ever read. It was a teaching that love can come to you at the strangest times, and to the most unlikely people. It really is also about a girl coming to grips with her mothers life. Through out the story she learns little bits and pieces of her mothers history and finally find out everything. Leah starts out as a person that doesn't really appreciate her mother, sense she has married 5 times and was never around because of working. At the end of the book though she finally learns her mother is a great person, while also learning alot about herself.

Ethan and Leah's love struck me with such force. It showed me that you can actually love anyone no matter what their background is. Ethan being Amish and not being able to really date people that are English, or outsiders. Still their love finds a way and it really is something worth reading.

This book was great but the ending made me cry and throw the book across my room into a wall. The characters built up this understanding and love for oneanother and then it is shattered in the end. Sadly though I think it's something that shows you can't always have or save the ones you love, not matter how much you love them. This story was a lesson on life and love, probably one of Lurlene Mcdaniel's best.

Summary: It is a great story!
Review: This is a touching story about a 16 year old girl, Leah, who finds out that she has cancer. When she is in remission, she goes to live with her new Amish friends, on their farm, for the summer.
This is a great story, and if you like it, you should also read the Dawn Rochelle quartet! I just finished it, and it is wonderful.

Summary: A sad story that ends with a glimmer of hope...
Review: This is an excellent book, and I thoroughly recommend this book to everyone of all ages. It explores aspects of life that alot of people will encounter one day in their lives.
This book has great charactisation, and each character grows in each of the books. I loved reading about the characters, and you could really sense the development as you read.
Leah started the story as an obnoxious girl who matured into a smart loving women.
Ethan was probably my favourite character. His innocense in the first book was well handled, and it took him awhile to adjust to the outside world. He was nice, well spoken and never held any regrets about his simplistic life. After all, it was all he knew!
The other characters matured exclusively from Ethan's sister's Charity and Rebekeh and his family. To Leah's mother, Neil and some of Leah's friends.
Love and friendship are the star elements of this story, I learnt so much about love and Amish ways, and how its such an innocent recluse way of life, that is so different to alot of peoples lives.
But ultimately, love prevails - but that doesn't mean you can always be with the people you love. The books started with Leah and her problems with her misunderstood self absorbed Mother who had married 5 times, and it ended with Leah finally accepting her mother ...

Summary: Angels Watching Over My Shoulders
Review: This is one of my most favorite books. It is about sixteen year old Leah Lewis-Hall. Leah has to stay in the hospital during the Holiday season, all because of a broke finger.
While in the hospital Leah gets an interesting roommate named Rebekah Longacre. Rebekah is a young Amish girl who is in the hospital because a Spider bit her.
Leah soon meats Rebekah's family. Leah instantly likes her handsome older brother Ethan Longarce.
She also starts to become friends with Rebekah's older sister Charity. The Amish family are really the first group of family that she can call her friends.
However with Leah being English ( the word that the Amish use to call outsiders. ) Leah and Ethan find it very hard to maintain their romantic interest in each other.
Things get interesting when Ethan wants to find his older brother Eli, who was shunned from the Amish community, because he didn't want to stay with the Amish ways of living.
This is a very exciting and moving book, filled with a lot of turns.
It has more then just a romance story. It's about two different kind of people, who have a very hard time to coincide with each other.
Both Leah and Ethan have a very hard time trying to live with their wanting with each other, and trying to make their community happy.
Both of them have very hard choices to make and no one really knows what the best thing in, but then who ever really does?
This is one a very good book for some one who doesn't really like romance, but who also wants much more of a story line.
The writing style is very wonderful and easy to read. The fact that the author tries to explain love through a different group of two people is also very exciting.
This is a very sad book but I do think that the writer made the right chose how she ended it. I would have however liked to know what happened to some of the characters.
Either way it's a very well crafted story.

Summary: IT was Awesome! A real tear-jerker!
Review: This is the very first book that made me cry. It was also the 1st book i`ve read by Lurlene McDaniel. I promptly read plenty more of her books! Though this one remains my favorite. I won`t give away what happens in the end(like other imbeciles do!)-but it has a very tear-jerking end! A job well done!

Summary: love the book, hate the ending!
Review: when i first started reading this book, i just couldnt put it down it was that good. it has such a great story line, its seriously a real page turner... i'm a huge fan of LM but i just didnt like the way she ended this book. i felt like it ended so suddenly and left the readers with so many questions like whats going to happen to leah and her mom?, what about jonah and charity?, did eli ever go see his family? and most importantly what happens with ethan and leah? i really hope she writes one more angel book just to put all the characters at rest, i know i'll be the first in line to buy it!! read this book, trust me you wont regret it!
