Rating: Summary: Very well written and keeps your attention. Review: Being a library employee for 10 years, I come across many books. This book keeps your attention, teaches about the Amish tradition and is very well written. I would recommend this book to a young adult or adult. Lurlene McDaniel does a nice job in showing that life isn't always peaches and creme. But, you're not disappointed in that. You finish reading the book being satisfied and left to think about things. Hopefully, the author will sometime write adult level books. I think she would get a whole new group of faithful readers.
Rating: Summary: Love doomed from the start. Review: Excellent Book! Great story arc in all 3 books, and although the ending wasn't exactly a happy one, it was realistic that Ethan felt he had to return to the Amish community. The 1st book starts with just Leah and her mother, and it ends with just Leah and her mother. With Neil, Ethan and Rebekah now found in her heart.
Rating: Summary: Beautiful Angel's Trilogy. Review: I absolutely loved this novel. Not only was it all three books in one, but it gave you a sense of everything. Different religion, life style and ways of copping. It's a touching story, I've read it as many times as I can remember. I couldn't help but feel discouraged at the end, it felt like there was still another novel to be written. Then again, it leaves you to your own imagination.
Rating: Summary: A Differnt Kind of Angel Review: I am very happy that this series is all in one book.To have all Angel books in one volume is fantastic. I just feel like she could have said more with the characters.Even though ther eare three books in the series I wouldn't mind another sequel.I felt like there are still alot of unanswered quistions.
Rating: Summary: Saddest book I've Ever Read Review: I have always loved reading Lurlene McDaniel's work, and this book has to be the best yet. I started the book at school one morning and couldn't put it down. I got a few dirty looks from teachers, but hey, it was worth it. Needless to say, I had it finished before I got home!! McDaniel's style of writing makes you feel like you're part of the book. I think I fell in love with Ethan, too. She truly makes her characters come to life. I would've given this book 5 stars, but the ending was a little abrupt. And so sad. Almost too sad. It was like the character came all that way only to end up where she started. McDaniel tried to make the ending seem hopeful but it didn't work for me. I really hope she continues the series. I liked it better than the Dawn Rochelle books, and I think it seems like she left us hanging. However, I still strongly recommend it. Even though it's sad, it still has the heartwarming style of Lurlene McDaniel. Read it and enjoy.
Rating: Summary: The dramatic book with a twist Review: I love all of the books I've read by Lurlene McDaniel, she is truly and inpirational writer. I've read all the lord of the rings books and all the harry potter books and many more, but this is the best book yet. This story shows that anything can happen, and to always have hope. The story starts off when Leah is landed in the hospital with a broken finger, but tests show that it's more than just that. When Leah recieves the diagnosis that she has bone cancer, she is devastated, that is until she meets an amish family that brings hope into her life. When she is free of the hospital, she enters a world that she could never imagine she could love so much, a simple life, with no electricity or modern day servies. The Amish world. She also falls in love with Ethan, one of the brothers in the family. Ethan is loyal to his background of the amish ways, and Leah struggles to fit into his life, even though she is not amish. Truly the most amazing book I have ever read.
Rating: Summary: Most touching book I have ever read Review: I loved all three of the books. After reading the first one I had to read the second and the second hooked me to read the third. All three of the books touched my heart, with their meaningful pages. I cried and laughed as I read all of these books. The series relates to both the everyday life of a teenager and the feelings that they have. I loved the series because I could relate to the books so much. I don't believe that I will be able to ever read such a good series as this one.
Rating: Summary: one of the best Review: I loved these books! They kinda made me think about my life a little. But it left me hanging. I want to know what happens to Leah's and Eathen's relationship? Did Leah's cancer ever return?Did her mother ever fall in love/get married again? Did Leah ever go to college, if so where did she go?Will Eli come back to the Amish settlement to see his family? Not only to see them but to let them meet his family! Will Jonah ever return to the Amish way of life or stay with the "English"? So many question's with no answer's to fill in the blanks!!!!!Please, Lurlene Mcdaniel write a sequel!!
Rating: Summary: Wow Review: I loved this book. It was even sadder than the ones where the main character usually dies. When Ethan left I was histerically crying. But it was really good. I would actually give it 4 1/2 stars. It is very moving and it just makes you want to read on and on.
