Summary: Perfect book to learn about the Boston Massacre
Review: In so many words, this books streams in bits of history will still continues a fictional story line. I couldn't help to cry at the end when Rachel Marsh finially understood who she was! I think it is a very well writen book and should be read for everyone who knowes little or nothing about the great city of Boston and its importance in the American Revolution!

Rating: 5 stars

Summary: An okay book
Review: Although this book was decent, I don't agree with many readers praising Ann Rinaldi. All of her books have a certain 'sameness'- a young poor girl whose father has died working in someone else's house. The fact that the main character had no real historical involvement limits the amount of action that can occur in the book.

Summary: The Fifth of March
Review: The Fifth of March is a wonderful book that explains the Boston Massacre in living color. It captures the interest of any reader. When the soldiers are sent into Boston, Rachel Marsh befriends a sentry named Matthew Kilroy. As things become complicated between Rachel, Matthew, and the civilians of Boston, thoughts are tangled in the web of Rachel's mind. When citizens meet in front of the Commons House, Matthew leads the soldiers in firing upon the crowd. The images in the book are clear and vivid in any reader's mind. Intriguing, interesting, and thought-provoking.

Summary: The Fifth of March
Review: What an awesome book! This was one of the best books I have ever read. I liked how the book told about real events in history and was interesting at the same time. I don't read historical fiction that much, but I will definetly read more Ann Rinaldi books.

Summary: Rinaldi at her best!
Review: Rachael Marsh is a personable character and could be any teenager you meet today. She experiences real-life problems intertwined into the begining of the Revolutunary War. Rinaldi is a fantastic author, this may be her best yet!

Summary: Formulatic
Review: Ann Rinaldi is a wonderful author, but I'm noticing a pattern in her work. 14 year old girl has only one living relation and is independent and so on and so on. This is a wonderful book if you're trying to get a perspective on the Boston Massacre, but is only a so-so pleasure read.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: The best Rinaldi Yet!
Review: The Fifth of March was a fantastic book! If your school has the accelerated reader program such as A.r. you want to check this book because it is really really good!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Ann Rinaldi has written a winner
Review: This very interesting book about the Adams' house girl Rachel Marsh. It combines intrigue, historical facts, a teenager's point of view and feelings about a very controversal time in America's history and finally a forbidden romance between Rachel and a British soldier. Ann Rinaldi has really out done herself with this book. It has sparked so much interset in me that I am hoping to get as many of her books as I can and read them all!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: I loved this book. It has been one of the best I've read.
Review: I read the Fifth of March a year ago and it is still my favorite book. Even if you don't have backgroung knowledge of the Revolutionary war you can still enjoy this book. For those romantics, The Fifth of March has a wonderful love story. Ms. Rinaldi just makes you feel all of the confusion that Rachel is going through, and I think you really start to feel for the poor girl. It makes you feel like your problems aren't so great. I think this is a wonderful book and advise anyone and everyone to read it. I would also reccomend Time Enough for Drums. Anything by Ms. Rinaldi is wonderful.
