Rating: Summary: DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK Review: I have never been so disappointed with the quality of a test prep book in my life. First thing I noticed, the sample question's page numbers dont correspond with the page numbers on the answer page, and I just took the math practice, Oh my. I missed questions because of misprinted numbers and operation signs and some of the answers in the answer key are just flat out wrong. one question asked me to solve for x in "-10>x>49" Im sorry, there is no number that is greater than 49 and less than negative 10, and none of the multiple choice answers came close to satisfying it. this book was put together by monkeys or something. dont waste your money, your college should be able to provide you decent review materials
Rating: Summary: A Great CLAST Review Book Review: I like this Barron's CLAST review book. The book is easy to use. The review is very clear and is tied to the test objectives. The practice tests are very realistic, and each test answer is carefully explained. There is lots of extra practice and worked out examples. You'll get good advice on the comuterized version of the test. The scored essays and multiple choice strategies helped a lot. If you ask me, this is the CLAST review book to get.
Rating: Summary: Embarrassing Book Review: This book has many errors in it and is an embarrassment to the publisher. I am speaking here only of the math sections. The presentation is sketchy and poorly explained. The typesetting of signed numbers is hard to read. The problem is that nobdoy else is publishing current study guides to the CLAST because it apparently doesn't pay. All the old guides aren't current anyway and don't talk about the computer version . This book mentions that version but doesn't help much by saying that it is easier than the paper and pencil version. That is simply a ridiculous untruth. The fact is that the computer version, although shorter, is based upon a curricular tree that you have to climb through in order to pass. You can't skip through branches that are absurd.( In fact most of this supposedly valid test is absurd)Therefore, the malicious test writers make the questions more confusing on the Computer Adapted version. So I guess we are all stuck trying to figure out what to do. Truly embarrassing, indeed!
Rating: Summary: Oh My Review: This book is very confusing! The answers are not where they are suppposed to be. Sometimes there are no answers at all. It is so sloppy that I wonder if the correct answers that are given are right. I can not believe that this book was ever published.
