Summary: My rebirth
Review: I picked up the book at my school's book fair. The cover intrigued me. I began to read it and I realized what it is like to be the couple starting the "oreo" or as my friends were called reapetedly the "mutt". I never understood what type of pain and pleasure you feel in that typeof rlationship. I wound up dating a caucasian guy. At first it was weird we had 2 very different Backgrounds But it worked out. The poem that is the basis for the book is the most beautiful poetry I have ever heard!

Summary: One of the best teen books I've ever read.
Review: This book was amazing...I read it and cried. It tells of how two people from completely different ends of society can find true love with each other. A story like this is what people need to read to realize that different skin color and lifestyle doesn't mean two people can't be together. I commend Jaqueline Woodson on this amazing story. Any teenager, even some adults, will enjoy this book.

Summary: Amazing Love Story
Review: Are you a romantic person? Or perhaps you like love stories? Well if your answers for these questions are yes then you would want to read if you come softly.
This book is about a black guy named Jeremiah and a white girl named Ellie and how they both fall in love at first sight. Everyone that sourrounds them dont agree to their choise of being together. Everyone looks at them wierd because they are not the same skin color, race, and religion. This young couple doesn't care about what other people think about them so they just go on with their relationship. But its not all happiness and joy, at the end of this wonderful book a trajic happens; but if you really want to know about it then you should read tis book.
Between my personal life and the book, there is really not much in common, but I do connect it with the book "Romeo & Juliet." Its very alike because its all basically the same thing except for the fact that they were raised are from families that hate each other and will just kill each other for anything at all.
If I were to rate this book in a scale from 1-5 and 5 being the best ever, I would give it a 5 because the book is incredibly good.

Review: If You Come Softly: Book Review When I first started this book, it was the opposite of what I expected. As I got further into the book, it became more of my interest. It got to the point where I could not put it down.
Jeremiah is a black child raised in a wealthy family. His parents are divorced. He starts to go to an all white prep School. He meets a white girl named Ellie and they share incredible moments o joy to gather.
They show their strong love for each other in many ways. The get hard looks and stares. Their parents lecture on them that it's no right, but thy stick to it and move on together.
The end came to me as a shock and I must say I showed my emotions. However, if you are wondering why and if you like the sound of this book, go ahead and read it. It is a great realistic love novel. Summary: If you come softly
Review: This is by far my favorite book! It touched my heart in so many ways! There is moments in this book when you just want to cry and when you just want to like scream for life! I love'd this book from the bottom of my heart. I even red it twice! My sister who is ten saw me read it for the second time but she wouldn't clean up her part of the room I have never ever seen my room that clean. Now if I could just get my book back! I love this book and I hope you will too

Review: I couldn't put this book down. I can relate to how Ellie is feeling throughout the whole book. The feeling that people are watching you and disapprove of what you are doing. But Ellie and Miah's relationship is strong and they don't care what other people think, their love is what matters. Thsi book made me laugh and made me smile and even made me cry. You just keep turing the pages until the very end. I recommend it for anyone who likes love stories.

Review: This book If You Come Softly was terrific. When I started reading it I couldnt put it down because it was good. I like the way the book began and ended. At first I didnt understand how Jermiah died and I had to go back and reread but I still loved the book just as I did when I read it the first time. I would recommend this book to anyone who is in a relationship where they just dont know what to do. The message I received from this book was to never listen to "people" that only has control over their mouths and always follow and trust your heart. I hope someone enjoys this book just like I did!!!!!!

Review: I got this book awhile back, but I still remember how it made me feel. The story is realistic and sad. Talking about a subject that is more common than people think. I was really able to see the characters and feel for them. I think this is a book that both teens and adults will enjoy.

Review: If you come softly is a great read for a teenage girl.This novel was really great but a sence of sadness went with it.It is a realistic fiction novel. It's about love and it's hardships.Ellie and Miah fall in love but are of different races, now that doesn't sound like a crime does it? The two main charaters are so deep in love but their relationship isn't aproved by others because of their different races.I recommend this novel because the plotline flows smoothly and teenagers can relate to it.
