Summary: Under a War Torn Sky
Review: "Under a War Torn Sky" by L.M. Elliot is an adventure and war book. It is the story of an American Bomber pilot who is flying with the RAF. He is shot down by AAA (anti-aircraft) fire over Nazi occupied France. Henry met up with a group of freedom fighters who called themselves the maquis that took him to Switzerland. Then they took him to France. He was in prison and being interrogated which is being asked questions. He was in the car with the general that was interrogating him and he shot him and the driver.Later on he met up with a guy from another plane that flew with him. They went over a mountain with some of the maquis. Later on he heard that the Allies were moving in faster and that the Nazis were being driven back. One day Henry decided to go through the German lines. He ran through and came to the Allies. They took him to Great Britain where they interrogated him about how the maquis work and then they took him to the United States. Where he went home to his family.
I really enjoyed this book because I like World War 2. I also like this book because it has planes and I really like planes. I would rate this book five star rating.

Review: "Under A War-Torn Sky" was great. A great page-turner, and very suspenseful. It's a good read, and the author has done a great job of drawing a picture in people's minds of life during World War 2. A book for all kids and teenagers.

Now Henry is on his 15th flying mission the mission where Henry will die a terrible death or get through safe. What will happen? Read the book to find out. This is a great book for people who love adventure and exciting historical fiction. My praise to the author for not writing a boring book on such a hard topic

Summary: Excellent Book for Kids and Adults
Review: I purchased the book with my sons in mind but as I started reading it with them I became enthralled. This book is an excellent read for all ages. It gives our children an understanding of the tremendous hardship and sacrifices our parents and grandparents made for America. The story is fast paced, the characters are very compelling - I was hooked from beginning to end. I highly recommend this book for all.

Summary: Outrageous war novel
Review: I purchased this book at a [local store] at a school in Texas and I was so intrigued by this book, I read all of the war to chapter 17; there are 26 chapters in all. I have to say this is one of the greatest war novels I have ever read, make that the greatest book i have ever read and I encourage all of you readers out there to purchase this book. It is a good mix of all emotions, it has danger, suspense, romance, heroism.

"It's an action-packed, suspenseful, edge of your seat entertainment filled novel" Marty M -- War torn Sky reader

Summary: A Plane That Ends Deadly
Review: I very much liked the book "War Torn" by L.M Elliot. Its about a ninteen year-old guy named Henery Forester and he is the youngest pilot in his AirForce Squadron. Henery faces hunger, and fear. He had nothing but his feet to to travel on. He becomes wounded and struggles toward freedom on his feet in France. The major event in the story is Henery Forester is shot down behind enemy lines. Although, he was helped by children and a families. My opinion I thought this book was very good for people that enjoy reading and watching movies of war-- action movies. I would rate this book a 8 on a scale from 1 to 10. The Theme of this book is about a young teen surviving in France alone after his fighter plane was shot down by enemy fire.

Summary: If there was sequel...
Review: If there was a sequel, I would grab it with both hands and punch anyone who got in the way.

LOL, I loved this book. I got it in October and it was the last good book I've read. So please, I mean, Elliot, I have plenty ideas and I wouldn't charge you for them. : )

I know that there probably won't ever be except for my wildest dreams, so I say, keep dreaming.

Summary: Under a War-Torn Sky
Review: Michel Rodriguez
"Under a War-Torn Sky", by L. M. Elliot, is a historical fiction novel about the hardships of being behind enemy lines, survival, and the risks people take to live freely. This story takes place during the mid 1940's, from the beautiful cities of France, to the mountains of Carcassone, to the Nazi headquarters. The main character, Henry, who was a pilot, was helped by a number of other people, mainly Madame Gualloise, Pierre and his mother, and Claudet, all of them except for Claudet in the French Resistance.
When Henry's plane was shot down over France, he was rescued by an old, but very determined, man.He was passed on from person to person, like a package that nobody wanted. As henry was passed on from place to place, he ralized that people were fighting their own war on the ground by helping downed pilots, hidind Jewish people, etc.
reders would enjoy this book, not because of the war part but because of the war part but because of the truthfulness of the author when describing the Nazi traitors, the determined French people and even the disadvantages that were caused because of the war. If you read this book, you will feel like you know everything there is to know about WW II.
