Rating: Summary: L.J. Smith Once Again Captured Me! Review: OMG! I can't praise L.J Smith enough! I picked the Vampire Diaries when I was in 7th grade...which lead me to The Secret Circle Series and The Night of the Solstice and The Heart of Valor. Anyways, I'm am now entering my senior year in high school, and I found the books and re read them...I finished every book that i own by LJ Simth and was totally enthralled by them...i still cryed at the ending of the 3rd volume of the Vampire Diaries and I rejoyced w/ Bonnie at the end of the 4th volume...I fell in love with Stefan and Damon and Matt all over again..The Vampire Diaries and every other book LJ Smith has ever written are MUSTS in everyones home library...regardless of age...I can't seem to get enough of those books now...readers of any age can relate to the characters...like i said, they are MUSTS and you would be depriving yourself of great writing by not reading them...
Rating: Summary: I have never connected so completely with a series as I have Review: with The Vampire Diaries. The series is a beautifully written tale of the inner struggles of Stefan, (the tortured Romeo vampire) Elena (the high school Homecoming Queen who haplessly falls in love with Stefan) and Damon (The mysteriously handsome, condesending and manipulative older brother of Stefan). This series is NOT a hair-flicking, teenage melodrama! It is a wonderful, suspensful tale that takes the reader back to Renaissance Italy and into the supernaturally charged town of Fells Church. The story is one of love and loss, of struggle and defeat, of terror and witchcraft, of vampires and angles, but most of all; it is a story of two lost souls and the eternal quality of love.
Rating: Summary: Not just for young adults Review: I have never read a book that can pull you in like this book did. It made me cry and laugh, and I couldn't put it down. ( I picked it up off my daughters dresser because I didn't have anything to read) I have read it twice now and It just keeps getting better
Rating: Summary: this book is the best book in the world. Review: this book is one of the best books i have ever read. i think that L.J.Smith is a very talented writer. the way that she is able to create a world of evil that seems so real. the series "vampire diaries" is very well written. the book is kind of like a good vs. evil and evil turns good kind of thing. it is filled with terror and suspense that seems to have the readers on the edge of their seats. even though the ending is not something you would expect to happen, you kind of think that it is a suitable ending for this type of series. i recommend that everyone read this book and other books by this author.
Rating: Summary: This Book Is The Best Book I've Read In A LONG Time Review: This book is the first in the the Vampire Diaries series and is very romantic with a horrific twist. Stefan is the most sensitive one that everyone roots for. I actually wanted Elena to become a Vampire so her and Stefan could go back to Italy. Damon is very mysterios and is the bad guy. He is also the character who is also rooted for a bit because he is so arrogant and handsome. I give this book all 10 stars.
Rating: Summary: Favorite of all her series; classic Review: I think this is probably L.J. Smith's best series; at least to me it is. All her other books I compare to these ones; it's her classic series and the standard that her other books must live up to. I discovered L.J. Smith's books when I first picked up "The Secret Circle: The Initiation." I was referred to the Vampire Diaries through those books (The Secret Circle), which I felt were going to be the best of her books. But the Vampire Diaries were and are clearly the best of her books, my absolute favorites. I've read all her books and this is the only one that REALLY gets at my emotions. It's not really a standard, happy-ending type book and that I think is the beauty of it. It's haunting, mystical and touches a part of your soul that you may never have known exists and brings it out. Six years later, it's still my favorite series and books of all time. I DO want to know what happens with Elena and Stefan later, but that's another part of the mystique of this book; you can end it anyway you want to.
Rating: Summary: The most sorrowful, passionate book ever! Review: I loved this book!! If anyone knows how I can purchase this, please don't hesitate to email me at angelfeather@usa.net
Rating: Summary: it's the most beautiful story I've read Review: At first, I thought that I wouldn't enjoy this book. But after reading for a while, I started to fall in love with the characters. Stephen is the most beautiful and loving person/vampire that I've read about. He is everything you would want in a guy. He's young(physically), and he's kind beautiful. He just makes you want to take care of him. He is so lonely until he meets Elena. At first, he's afraid because of his nature. Also, when he first saw her he thought she looked just like Katherine, his maker, who by her death, he blamed herself. I love L.J Smith . She is the greatest author.
Rating: Summary: This book and it's sequels, were well written and thrilling. Review: I loved this book. Immediately, I bonded with Elena. I loved reading as she, was bombarded with problems, in love, and in school. Stephan, was a perfect gentelman, even while fighting Tyler. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes vampires.
Rating: Summary: Love, tradgety, and excitement. Vampires on the prowl!! Review: I rarely rate a book a ten, but this one truly deserved it. The thrilling past of Stephan, a forgotten vampire comes back to haunt him. Unexpected and brutal deaths occur, and stephan blames his uncontrollable erge for blood. Elena, another prime character is falling head over heals in love with a new guy to the school. Tall, dark, and mysterious, Stephan holds her heart. Through flashbacks of past loves, tradgety, romance, and adventure these characters go through a great deal only to find more questions and answers that are heart breaking, or should I say life taking?
