Rating: Summary: A great book, full of adventure! Review: This book was so good, that I could never put it down. If you like books that are full of adventure and excitement, you will love Far North. Hobbs does a wonderful job of keeping up the suspense all throughout the story. It becomes a story of triumph and survival when Raymond and Gabe get stuck in the wilderness of Canada. They are all alone with a pistol, and three bullets, trying to survive the winter of the Northern Territories. If this book sounds good to you, you can also read other books by Will Hobbs, such as Bearstone, Downriver ,orThe Maze.
Rating: Summary: Action packed! Review: This book was wonderful. It was just situation after situation. There was so much action that it leaves you on the edge of your seat. I couldn't put it down. When all hope seamed lost, there would always be a turn in the story.
Rating: Summary: "Breathtaking By The HeartBeat!" Review: This is a great story about two young boys from very diverse backgrounds. Raymond is from Canada and Gabe is from Texas. They end up going to the same school and because they have the same birthday, they were paired up to be roommates. They ended up on a sightseeing flight that went down and crashed. The two boys faced many hardships and struggles. They lost two friends. They had to find shelter and food to surive. The suspense at times made me worry that one of them was going to die at any time. This is an action packed book that holds your attention until the very end.

Rating: Summary: Far North Review: This was a great book I couldn't stop reading it, one morning I started it had to take a break for breakfast and then read it all the way until lunch when I finished it. It is about a boy who goes to a school in Canada and ends up lost in the woods with Jonny Raven and Raymond, read it to see what happens to them. This is a great book it is action packed and will keep you interested.
Rating: Summary: Far North Review: This was a very intriguing book. I read it for the Battle Of The Books for our school. I didnt really want to read it, but it turned out to be a fantastic book. It talks about Gabe, a teenager from Texas that moved to a Canadian boarding school with his romate Raymond, who is from a Dene Village. I wont spoil it, but they end up crashing at Virginia falls and Johnny Raven helps them survive, for the most part. Johnny is a Dene that doesnt speak english so he communicates though actions. When you read at least the first two chapters, you will be addicted.
Rating: Summary: An exciting but undetailed book Review: When you get lost in northern Canada what do you do? This was the problem faced by Gabe Rogers. Gabe is an average 15 year old boy, but when Gabe goes on a sight seeing trip the plane won't start when they land to see Virginia Falls. Then the rope breaks and the plane goes tumbleing over the falls! Now in need of food, Gabe and his friend, Raymond, must find food and shelter to survive. The book is exciting but not very detailed. It is also hard to believe that the tempature could go under -60 degrees farenhiet. This book is definitely not deserving of a National Book Award. I would rate it a 7 on a scale of 1 to 10. I would also not recomend it to anyone.
